There appears to be a rather simple explanation on why the #CollatzConjecture is true. No idea how I'd put it in mathematical terms, but there seems to be a very clear tendency towards producing even numbers, thus leading to a steady decrease in value.

My first computer (a Schneider/Amstrad) had 3". Yes, 3, not 3.5. Pain in the ass to find, and expensive as shit.
My first PC then had both 3.5" and 5.25". First game on that was Ultima Underworld, on 5.25" floppies.
