There’s a phase you get to in life life,
all those hymns you sang in your childhood as mere songs , starts making total sense
Because what a friend we really have in Jesus ?
If I’m at home and my mummy wants to cook semo for instance , she’ll ask if I’ll eat, I’ll say no.
She’ll put water on fire and ask me again ,I’ll say no. When she wants to turn the semo she’ll ask if she should turn my own, I’ll still say no.
When semo is ready she’ll still come to ask if she should dish my own I’ll shout no.
When she dishes her semo she’ll tell me to come and take one or two morsel and I’ll get angry and say I’m not eating seh.
Later I’ll enter the kitchen because I want to eat semo, open cooler and see she has carefully wrapped semo for me, I’ll eat it and she’ll say she knows I’ll later get hungry and eat it.
The day wey my aunty ask me if I go chop semo and I talk no, I enter her kitchen, she don wash semo pot and the plate wey she take chop, no semo for cooler too. I ask why she no keep semo for me , she say I talk say I no dey chop now. E pain me gan 😭😭😂😂

B.A. French & German… exactly the kind of global talent we support.
Dear Babasola,
Let me tell you a quick story.
Back in Nigerian Law School, Victoria Island campus, there was a guy who resumed with us with zero means and zero plan for his fees. As usual, we rallied around him and crowdfunded. I think the SR led it. Not sure if that still happens.
Now here’s the twist. While we were still waiting for Call to Bar, this same guy started another crowdfunding campaign on the NLS group. This time it was for an LLM program in New York. The audacity was loud. Most of us, myself included, applauded his audacity as per community pikin wey him be, I guess we no like do LLM for New York too.
Fast forward. He’s now practicing in the States.
So yes, be shameless.
Truth is, I would probably be much farther in life than I am now if I no get shame! 🥹
Does anyone else have that one friend who just comes to their house to sleep?
Like whenever they visit you, after initial pleasantries, next thing, they’re arranging either your bed or couch to fall asleep. Then as soon as they wake up, they start going back to their own house?
A U.S. Army Private First Class, Shamika Burrage, was involved in a car accident in 2016 which resulted in her left ear being torn off.
Surgeons at William Beaumont Army Medical Center in El Paso, Texas, performed an advanced reconstructive procedure instead of leaving her disfigured.
They took cartilage from her ribs and shaped it into a new ear, which was then surgically placed and grown beneath the skin of her forearm for several months.
This technique allowed the ear to develop its own blood vessels, nerves, and soft tissue.
Once the ear was fully grown and viable, it was successfully transplanted back onto her head, restoring both its appearance and sensation.
Yes! I remembered trying out yoghurt making with a sachet of milk back in 2002, after the discovery started buying six sachets and then a carton. That was in 2007. Then me and my wife summoned courage and bought this bag in 2008 I supposed. Today we have exceeded N500million on chase of bags of milk.
Again I say to you, small steps stacked consistently becomes a big win.
You cannot even say the solution is japaing ‼️
Cause what happens to your loved ones at home???
Do I take my entire nuclear and extended family with me???
How about my friends and all who I care about???
It's a touching true story, but they did adjust the one twin to appear more blue to dramatize the recovery (completely unnecessary). That said, the embrace did truly help stabilize the younger Brielle. It's a true story, just visually embellished. Here's an image of the twins (unembellished) and grown up, including one image where she's gone full butch (as teenagers).
My son cheated on his baby mama when they were together, and I told her straight up leave him and move on with your life. Fast forward some time later, my coworker was talking about how he wished he had a good woman. From what I’ve seen over the years, he’s a solid man. So I decided to introduce him to my son’s baby mama. Now here we are a year later… and they’re getting married. My son is mad and calling me “the opp,” but I told him he can’t be mad at nobody but himself. You had a good woman and didn’t treat her right so it’s only right another man gets to love her correctly.
This person was in a serious accident. Fortunately, he was wearing an Apple Watch, which constantly monitors vital bodily functions such as blood pressure, pulse, and even falls.
The watch automatically placed an emergency call to rescue its owner, pinpointing his location on a map and sending an alert message to his son: "Your father has been in an accident: I called an ambulance and you too because you're on his emergency list."
When the son arrived at the scene, he found that the ambulance had already taken his father to the emergency room thanks to the automatic call, and that he had been rescued. This is a great example of how technology can be a blessing, not a curse.
It all depends on how humans use it...
Today you learned this.
When a small intruder like a mouse dies inside a beehive, the bees cannot physically carry its body out.. it’s simply too large. So, guided by their instinct, they use propolis (a resinous mixture they create from tree sap and wax) to encase the carcass completely. This process is called “mummification by propolis.”
Propolis is indeed antibacterial, antifungal, and resin-dense, forming an airtight seal that prevents decay and the spread of pathogens inside the hive. Scientists have documented this behavior repeatedly: explorers and beekeepers have found perfectly preserved “mouse mummies” sealed in golden resin within hives.
What’s remarkable is that this isn’t learned behavior.. it’s instinctive.
Bees automatically respond to contamination threats in ways that mirror advanced sanitation logic.
It’s an astonishing example of what many describe as divine programming within creation… a glimpse of the Almighty’s order in miniature form.
