I don’t mind realism itself, but I think ppl are starting to dislike it bc companies have graphics as their backbone and cut corners around gameplay; marketing almost entirely on how their graphics are slightly better than the last game.
One of my biggest hot takes will always be the fact that I think modern video games are way too realistic looking.
I miss when video games actually LOOKED like video games:
Perfect. Keep addons for non-combat purposes. As long as they fulfill players combat preferences with everything built into the game that needs to be.
Very curious to see how midnight raids will look mechanic-wise since so much of raiding is designed around players with addons.
Really hope there is some semblance of TT in this. From the trailers it looks like the Arkham games legofied, but it would be nice to see some mechanics from older LEGO games, especially character customization.
D4 is a game I don’t find myself wanting to play anymore tbh; always have a blast when I do, but it’s very short term enjoyment than I quit for a few months.
I admire them trying a lot of new things, but each season it feels like a completely different game to me; no cohesion.
Season 11 might be the turning point for Diablo 4.
Devs are teasing major overhauls, and something else brewing for December. 👀

Tier sets are one of the few things Blizzard almost always nails.
Even if certain raids and mechanics aren’t appealing I generally play through just to collect the sets.
Might have to main a disc priest going into midnight…
@Wowhead As long as Blizzard has much better UI for Midnight then I’m all for minimizing/getting rid of addons; at least DBM, details, weakauras, etc. should already be built into the game.
Other ones like mount trackers, sticky notes, and non-combat ones could stay as addons imo.
@Wowhead Honestly think most people saw this coming since the icons were revealed. Disappointing nevertheless, players paying $15/month plus expansions and are still expected to give more money for items that should be earned in game.
