you know what. im noticing some patterns in color distribution of nier designs and now im subjecting all of you to my little symbolism theories. thread below
hope you enjoyed the ride! i have way more thoughts that i have expressed for now, but i dont want to bloat the thread because its already pretty long @_@ id like to hear your thoughts as well if you have any! especially on drakengard designs, since im very curious about them
the balance of those makes up what characters' stance on changing their mind and embracing new ideas can be. none of those is inherently bad, and both full-white and full-black characters are still capable of violence and love alike.
on the last note, id like to make my personal assumption about the role of color green in nier.
i think its close to cyan in meaning, but as the color itself is warmer - it manifests warmer neaning too: love, responsibility and care.

and dont get me started on how devola and popola get treated as equals in nier's village, but are also seen with golden staff in their hands when theyre showing the truth: they are in control.
