How Degen selection for ENJ stakers works:

As we're going live with minting fresh Degens to active stakers, here are some clarifying points:

1) Selection: Each account that has an active ENJ coin stake has a chance to win a Degen in that era. The probability to win is determined by that accounts total ENJ staked, across all pools, against the total amount of ENJ staked from all accounts in that same era, using weighted random distribution. Meaning, the more ENJ you stake, the higher the chance you have to receive a Degen in that era.

The formula to calculate your probability is: "account_staked_ENJ" / "total_staked_ENJ"

Staking using one account, or multiple, does not influence the probability, only the ENJ amount.

When an account is selected, the Degen is minted straight to that account (use Enjin Wallet to receive a push notification when that happens).

2) MFT Multiplier: Accounts holding a Multiverse Founders Token (MFT) in that era have their respective multipliers applied to their total ENJ staked, further increasing their probability. See https://t.co/mWKKtXqcjP for more info.

3) Emission: At launch, there will be 1 Degen minted for each staking era. Meaning, there will be a total of 2 Degens minted per era starting January 20 - 1 for crowdloan participants, 1 for active stakers. We may revisit the emission numbers as we gather more data.

4) Unbonding ENJ: Unbonding ENJ does not count into your ENJ balance - you need to have an active ENJ stake.

5) Penalties: To increase fairness, a penalty is applied to an account when it receives a Degen for the next 7 eras. The penalty is aggressive at the start - 85%, slowly tapering off to a 10% penalty for the last era. While you should be rewarded for having a large ENJ stake with a higher chance, we also need to prevent whales scooping up all of the supply. We'll again adjust the penalty as we gather more data if necessary.

6) Blacklists: Certain whale accounts with substantial staked ENJ balances have been blacklisted - the purpose of minting Degens via staking is to circulate them to the general public, not saturating whales.
