This trip was everything I needed and more. I woke up at 5:30am to see the sunrise, had my morning coffee overlooking the marina, had unlimited rum punches by pool, got a massage on the beach. I accomplished everything on the itinerary. Feeling so refreshed and rejuvenated!

However, despite the ongoing obstacles, I can confidently say that I am finally seeing the light at the end of the tunnel. I started a new job on Monday where I feel valued and seen. For the first time in a long while, I feel like I can actually breathe.

In February, my position was terminated just two weeks before receiving my yearly bonus and raise. I had claimed 2024 to be my year and felt like I was on top of the world, only to have everything stripped away.

The past few months have been a physical and emotional roller coaster. I faced countless interviews and rejections, which led me to lose faith not only in the process but in myself. I tried to focus on controlling what I could and learning to live one day at a time.
