Fergus

Reluctant Forest fan.

[Fergus @_wddrs]

The moaning about Haaland’s goal is way over the top. Especially after the number of dubious decisions United have got vs Forest:
- Worrall “red card” (A) (never mind the pen)
- Maguire catching practise (H)
- Mbuemo catching practise (A)

And that’s just against my team!

Assume related to outgoings. There’s a small suspicion that Kali’s deal leads to another but I won’t be holding my breath.

The Armstrong and Hendo deals breaking got us all excited 😆

Mamardashvili brings world-class potential, Deano dominates the box.

Sels is Mr. Reliable for Forest and has been a great servant.

How the keepers we’ve been linked with compare:
🧤 PSxG: Mamardashvili > Henderson > Sels
✈️ Aerials: Mamardashvili > Henderson > Sels
🧹 Sweeper: Henderson > Mamardashvili > Sels
🧤 Consistency: Sels > Henderson > Mamardashvili
🎯 Passing: Mamardashvili > Henderson > Sels

Glasner is an elite coach. He's proven it in every job he's had. We have to hold our nerve.

This isn't Dyche or Ange - who had clear weaknesses BEFORE they took the job.

We can't dodge the same bullet twice. If we hound out another manager, we deserve what we get.

#nffc

[Fergus @_wddrs]

Beyond "we were shit", there were two things Leeds consistently did better than us:

a) Dropping both CMs into a 3-2 shape to avoid our press and gain controlled possession in midfield or break.

b) Very aggressive man-to-man out of possession to force us wide or long.

#nffc

[Fergus @_wddrs]

Here's the rub - Glasner needs to train a historically low or mid-block team to:

a) Commit fully to pressing man-to-man.

b) Coach better one-touch passing patterns to beat a man-to-man press.

+ The number of bad touches/passes tonight would be embarrassing at any level.

Go back in for Read. This is not the answer.

Rueda is cheap depth, but lacks the elite physical power and output to start in the Premier League.

Read is the real deal. 20yo dynamic powerhouse with high European ceiling. High floor, high upside.

Surely an Oly target.

[Matteo Moretto @MatteMoretto]

Noticia exclusiva confirmada: Celta y Nottingham Forest ultiman la venta de Javi Rueda.

[Fergus @_wddrs]

Glasner turned Mateta into prime Christian Vieri - Delap I like.

Jacob Murphy link pure nonsense.

imo the biggest job is to maximise outgoings. Plus, any straight loans HAVE to play consistent games.

Time to crown the worst/best offender. Who’s taking the #NFFC Troll of the Year title? 👇

For what it's worth I think >£50M is overpaying given the lack of playing time and the player's desire to leave.

[Fergus @_wddrs]

Spurs were probably letting others know anyway, but it seems unnecessary to broadcast our intentions through ITKs when we haven't even had a bid accepted.
