I agree with Itzhak Bentov’s definition of consciousness which states that consciousness is the capacity of a system to respond to stimuli. He also goes on to state that consciousness is an ever present all pervading force. This is how we can observe that there are different levels to consciousness and vary greatly depending on the entities relation to the spectrum.
