We’re building Copilot as a new OS for work that spans every model, every form factor, and every task. Today, we’re announcing our biggest update to Copilot to date, bringing four things together:
· Autopilot: proactive and long-running agent built for the enterprise
· Code: build apps with Copilot, hosted inside your company’s tenant
· Home: Chat + Cowork together
· Office: now fully embedded in Copilot (and Copilot embedded in Office, of course!)
Plus, you can invoke Copilot in Teams, and we’re introducing Today, a proactive experience that surfaces the most important information from across M365 without needing to ask for it.
The way we work is changing and so are our workflows. This update brings AI into that flow, from answering a question, to building an app, to getting work done on your behalf.
@priestessofdada@MarcLeone14@antibearthesis wouldn't call it a lie, a bet, maybe. as long as there is uncertainty, there's a potential bubble. you seem to think it will pay off, i don't, time will tell.
@priestessofdada@MarcLeone14@antibearthesis ok, but none of that is indicative of it not being a bubble. (skeptical if hyperscalers are making profit, but i honestly don't understand those deals) all that's holding it up is a belief that operations will become much cheaper or that consumers will pay much more than they are
@MarcLeone14@antibearthesis@priestessofdada "gigantic profit"? Anthropic is the only AI company claiming small profits (and for the first time), but they are likely temporary. All of them subsidize their AI products so heavily that they are burning money
@Waffl3x@hasen_95dx I'd argue it's often better (for games, at least). A full ECS can be a very burdensome abstraction, it's very powerful to just have a fat struct and implement behaviors with some loops than work with e.g. a systems scheduler. But the lines are blurry, the advantages are similar
@oxcrowx @TheGingerBill if the "standard practices" of those languages were all good, there would be no reason for other languages to exist. that can be argued, but this here is just Appeal to Authority. you've been consistently unwilling to engage with the reasons behind Odin's design decisions
From my understanding even the 25x estimates may be conservative for higher-end models and don't factor in the complete operational costs. Not an economist but I don't see any way how this could ever become profitable, the Uber-like market dominance play doesn't work here
AI companies currently subsidize their users $3 to $25 for every dollar of subscription. As a result, users are very sensitive to *any* price or rate limit changes, and have no idea of the actual costs of AI. Token-based billing will be lethal at scale.

All of you programmers complaining: Why don't you actually go do something about it? Why are you putting with shit all day long? Why don't you want better software out there in the world? You know you can just do things, right?
Implemented dual Kawase blur for my lighting system, love how it looks, even on low res! Definitely gonna make the lighting more subtle though
