Willson Contreras in a nutshell: RBI single in the first vs. Will Warren, HR in the third. In the fourth, Warren starts the AB with two fastballs up and out of the zone, the second noticeably more inside than the first (the above photo shown below).
Notice where Contreras was standing on the first pitch.
So what does Contreras do?He moves even CLOSER to the plate with a clear message: “You want to move me off the plate? Well now I’m going to basically stand ON it.”
Warren misses away.
Walk ultimately ensues. Contreras barks. Benches empty. Warnings are issued.
If you ask me, this is part of the reason the Sox should keep Contreras. He’s right-handed. He hits. He’s not afraid. The Red Sox need players like this if they’re ever going to get back to who they were.
Mark Pope just broke a month-long Twitter silence with a cryptic message from a plane 👀
"After a bumpy start my pilots found the perfect zone. Not too high. Not too low. Clear skies ahead. Let's go BBN!"
What does it mean???

@HebHammer94@TheSportPigeon you can’t ignore K% but you also can’t act like what this team doesn’t need is home runs. Yes he’s going to strike out, but how many homers is he going to hit. Guys on base when he hits them?…. You see where i’m going about why home runs are important?
@VeleGibson@BBGreatMoments lmao i feel you man it can be gimmicky. it does bring in the kids and the casuals tho. Don’t know how good it is that they come to a ball game for the dancing , but at least they’ve taken a break from calling baseball boring
@VeleGibson@BBGreatMoments damn my bad with all the offensive language you tried to use i thought something way more serious was going on. i guess i need to lighten up a little!
