DON’T DELAY TO APPLY GOD’S WORD

…Resist the devil, and he will flee from you (James 4:7)

It’s unfortunate that, out of indifference or lack of spiritual discipline, some Christians neglect to confess God’s Word concerning their lives, assuming they can always do so later. But spiritual things don’t work that way.

When you delay to apply God’s Word against the adversary, you create room for his operations to persist. Don’t allow it. Deal with him promptly and decisively, giving him no place. The Scripture is clear: ��Neither give place to the devil” (Ephesians 4 :27).

The instruction in our opening verse is equally clear: “Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.” That resistance is not for a later time; it is for the very moment he attempts to afflict your body or interfere with your circumstances. You don’t postpone it; you confront it immediately with the Word. To delay is to yield ground, but to act on the Word is to enforce your dominion.

Speak the Word and exercise your faith as the Scripture instructs: “Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked…and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God” (Ephesians 6: 16-17).

Refuse to accommodate anything contrary to what God has said about you. This is the life of faith. You respond with the Word at once and align your actions with the truth you have received.

Always remember that Satan is a defeated foe; you’re superior to him. You’ve already overcome him and all his demons. Keep them where they belong—under your feet. Hallelujah!

Dear Father, thank you for the power of your Word in my life. I respond immediately to every situation with your Word, enforcing my dominion and walking in the reality of all that you’ve made available to me in Christ, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

TAKE ADVANTAGE OF HIS GRACE

📖Thou therefore, my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus (2 Timothy 2:1).

Our opening scripture says, “…be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus.” That means take advantage of His grace, understand what that grace has brought to you and accomplished for you, and appropriate it. For example, God says He’s given you divine health in the Gospel (3 John 1:2); don’t try to get it, choose to walk in divine health. Make up your mind about it and refuse to allow anything to cause you to compromise.

The Word also says He’s brought you into a large place, a wealthy place (Psalm 18: 19). Then in 2 Corinthians 8:9, it says, _*“For ye know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that, though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, that ye through his poverty might be rich.”*_ This is the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ already at work for your prosperity.

Therefore, stop hoping or praying to prosper; live in prosperity. Enjoy your prosperous life in Him. That’s how to be strong in His grace: knowing what the Word says and living accordingly. It’s not enough to say, “I believe I’m healed” and remain on the bed; act on the Word. It makes no difference what symptoms you may feel; declare, “I have the life of God in me. I walk in divine health.”

When you speak like that, you’re not trying to convince God; you’re acknowledging what He’s already done. It brings to mind the testimony of a man who had been on crutches for a long time. He always spoke about what the devil had done to him. But one day, his pastor corrected him: “Don’t tell us what the devil has done; tell us what the Lord has done.”

He was then shown the Scriptures, “…by whose stripes ye were healed” (1 Peter 2 :24). The moment he saw it, he declared, “I’m healed! If God said He’s done it, then I’m healed.” On his way home, still using his crutches, he kept testifying. But as he stepped off a bus, he stumbled and fell, and his crutches went in the opposite direction.

As he tried to get up, he realized he could stand and walk without them. The Word had become real to him. He acted on it, and it produced results. That’s taking advantage of God’s grace. You’re not waiting for God to act. Rather, you’re living in the consciousness and manifestation of what He’s already done, walking in the fullness of the blessings of the Gospel. Hallelujah!

Dear Father, thank you for the grace that is in Christ Jesus. I take advantage of that grace and walk in the reality of all that you’ve made available to me. I live in your Word and manifest its truth in my life today, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

PRAYER—A CATALYST FOR DIVINE INTERVENTION

📖...Fear not, Daniel: for from the first day that thou didst set thine heart to understand, and to chasten thyself before thy God, thy words were heard, and I am come for thy words (Daniel 10 :12).

Prayer is a catalyst or spur for divine intervention. When you pray in alignment with God’s Word, you set spiritual forces in motion and connect earthly situations with heavenly responses. Through prayer, God’s purposes are activated and His will is established or caused to manifest in the earth.

A remarkable example of this truth is recorded in Daniel chapter 10. Daniel had been praying and fasting concerning the destiny of Israel. For twenty-one days he continued in prayer, unaware that from the very first day his words had already been heard in heaven. In response to his prayer, an angel was dispatched with the answer.

However, when the angel eventually appeared to Daniel, he explained that although the answer had been released from heaven, the very first day Daniel prayed, he had encountered resistance for twenty-one days from the powers of darkness led by the “prince of Persia.” This reveals an important spiritual reality: even when heaven has responded, there can be opposition in the spirit realm.

But Daniel’s persistence in prayer ensured that the divine purpose prevailed. The angel further explained that Michael, described as the prince assigned to Israel, came to assist in overcoming that resistance. This shows that angelic beings operate with divine assignments connected to nations and peoples, and their ministry often unfolds in response to God’s purposes and the prayers of His people.

At the same time, the Scriptures reveal that angels don’t override human responsibility. Israel had previously fallen into captivity because they had broken God’s covenant. Even though Michael was assigned to them, he couldn’t prevent the consequences of their disobedience.

But when the time of God’s promise arrived and Daniel aligned himself with the Word through prayer, divine intervention was activated. His prayers became the channel through which God’s purpose for Israel began to unfold. This shows the power of prayer that is rooted in the Word.

Therefore, prayer isn’t a routine but a participation in divine purpose: your opportunity to enforce God’s will in the earth. When you have this knowledge and understanding about prayer, you don’t wait for change; you bring it into manifestation. This makes you an active agent through whom divine purposes are established and fulfilled.

Dear Father, thank you for the privilege of prayer and the assurance of answers. As I pray in alignment with your Word, your purposes are fulfilled in my life and through me, and your will prevails in the earth, in the nations, and in my situations, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

THE TRUTH ABOUT OUR ADVERSARY

📖Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour (1 Peter 5:8).

There’re many opinions and assumptions about Satan, our adversary, but only the Word of God reveals his true identity. The Bible is the most authoritative source on spiritual realities and through it, God unveils the origin, nature and operations of the devil. Without this knowledge, men walk in ignorance; but with it, you walk in light, understanding and dominion.

If you believe in God, then you must also believe what He has said. The same God who reveals Himself to us in Scripture also clearly tells us that there is a devil. To deny the existence of Satan therefore, is to deny God’s own testimony. The Scriptures don’t present the devil as an abstract idea; they reveal him as a spiritual personality.

The Bible tells us about his origin. He was once an angel who later rebelled against God and became the adversary. When someone dismisses the existence of Satan, they often fail to recognize his incognito and the subtle ways he attempts to influence, deceive, kill, and destroy.

But the knowledge of the Word gives you discernment, confidence and the advantage to deal wisely and spiritually in life. It equips you with the knowledge and faith necessary to walk in constant dominion over Satan and his cohorts of darkness.

The Lord Jesus said, “Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you” (Luke 10: 19). Hallelujah! Yes, you have an adversary, the devil, but he’s a defeated foe. He’s under your feet. You’re not at his mercy; he’s subject to your authority in Christ. You’re superior to him, for you have the power to cast him out (Matthew 10:8, Mark 16: 17). Walk in this knowledge and exercise your dominion in Jesus’ Name.

Dear Father, thank you for the light of your Word that gives me understanding of spiritual realities. My mind is enlightened through the Scriptures, and I walk in wisdom, discernment and victory. I’m alert, grounded in your truth, manifesting the authority and dominion I have in Christ over Satan and the kingdom of darkness, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

A DEFEATED KINGDOM*

📖No man can enter into a strong man’s house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strong man; and then he will spoil his house (Mark 3: 27).

When the Lord Jesus addressed the accusation that He cast out demons by the power of Beelzebub, He revealed profound truths about the kingdom of darkness. First, He made it clear that Satan has a kingdom with a structure. Satan’s kingdom operates with coordination and hierarchy. We referenced this in our previous study.

However, the Master went further and revealed another crucial truth. In Mark 3 :27, He spoke about entering a strong man’s house and spoiling his goods. The “strong man” in this context refers to Satan. The Lord Jesus explained that no one can enter a strong man’s house and plunder his possessions unless the strong man is first “bound.”

With this statement, the Lord revealed His authority over Satan—the same authority which He passed on to us—His Church. He said in Matthew 10:8, _*“Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils: freely ye have received, freely give.” Then, in Mark 16 :17, He said, "And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils….”

Jesus, casting out demons was proof that He had authority over the kingdom of darkness. While Satan operates with a structured system of demonic forces, he is nevertheless a defeated foe. Through the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ, Satan and the forces of darkness were decisively defeated.

Colossians 2: 15 NKJV tells us that Jesus Christ disarmed principalities and powers and made a public spectacle of them. Yet, even though Satan has been defeated, he still attempts to operate with the same strategies he’s used throughout history. He has lost his authority, but he continues to function through deception, intimidation and manipulation.

This is why you must walk in the light of God’s Word and remain conscious of your victory in Christ and the dominion you have in His Name. Your authority over Satan is rooted in the triumph of Christ. You’re not fighting to obtain victory; you’re standing in the victory that has already been won. Live in the consciousness of this truth. You’re in dominion over Satan and his cohorts of darkness.

Dear Father, thank you for my victory over Satan and the forces of darkness. I live in the consciousness of Christ’s triumph and exercise my authority in His Name. Every work of the adversary is subdued, and I walk in the dominion and freedom that I have in Christ, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

SUPERIOR TO SATAN AND HIS STRUCTURES

📖And Jesus knew their thoughts, and said unto them, Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation; and every city or house divided against itself shall not stand (Matthew 12 :25).

The Lord Jesus revealed an important reality about Satan, his kingdom and structure when He addressed the accusation of the Pharisees that He cast out demons by Beelzebub, the prince of devils. In response, He asked a simple but profound question: “...How can Satan cast out Satan?” (Mark 3 :23). Through this statement, the Master unveiled something significant about the nature of satanic operations.

The Lord Jesus explained that a kingdom divided against itself cannot stand. This tells us something crucial: Satan operates with an organized structure; he has a kingdom. This kingdom functions with coordination and hierarchy. Demonic forces operate within an ordered system designed to oppose the purposes of God and influence the affairs of this world.

This insight helps us understand why the Bible speaks of principalities, powers, rulers of the darkness of this world, and spiritual wickedness in high places (Ephesians 6 :12). These terms describe ranks and authorities within Satan’s kingdom of darkness. But they’re all under your feet.

The Bible says we’re seated together with Christ in the heavenly realms, “Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come” (Ephesians 1 :21). In Christ, you belong to the Kingdom of God, a far greater and superior Kingdom ruled by righteousness, truth and divine authority.

Therefore, it makes no difference the structure of Satan’s kingdom or his modus operandi; you’re the one in charge. You have the dominion. Through the Word of God and the power of the Holy Spirit, you stand firmly in the victory and authority of Christ over Satan, hell, and the powers of darkness.

No structure of darkness can prevail against you or the authority of the Kingdom of God to which you belong. You’re not within their jurisdiction. You’re in the Kingdom of God’s Love-Son (Colossians 1: 12-13), where you reign and rule over all things by Jesus Christ. Hallelujah!

Dear Father, thank you for the light of your Word which gives me insight into spiritual realities. I walk in the authority of the Kingdom of God and stand firm in the victory Christ has accomplished for me. Every influence of darkness is subdued under the authority of Christ, and I live triumphantly in your truth, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

CONTINUALLY NOURISHED BY THE WORD

📖Jesus answered and said unto them, Ye do err, not knowing the scriptures, nor the power of God (Matthew 22: 29).

The Lord Jesus made a striking statement when He said, “You err because you know not the Scriptures.” This shows that ignorance of God’s Word inevitably leads to error. When the Word of God is absent from a person’s life, confusion and misdirection become inevitable.

The knowledge of the Scriptures keeps you aligned with God’s truth and preserves you from deception. That’s why studying and meditating on the Word should be a daily and constant experience in your life. The Word of God can be likened to the Manna that God fed the children of Israel with in the wilderness. He instructed them not to store it for the next day.

Each day’s provision had to be gathered afresh. When the Lord Jesus later declared in John 6: 35, “…I am the bread of life…,” He revealed the deeper meaning of that experience. He’s the true bread from heaven, the living Word that nourishes the human spirit. The Word of God is God’s food for your spirit, and you need it every day.

The Lord instructed in Joshua 1:8, _“This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night….” Meditation on the Word is essential for a victorious Christian life. You can’t depend merely on your past experiences with the Word. Your spiritual strength is sustained through continual fellowship with the Word.

When a Christian neglects personal study of the Word, or is inconsistent in church or in the environment where the Word is taught, he or she becomes vulnerable. But when you remain consistently nourished by God’s Word and strengthened through fellowship with those who share the same faith, you stay spiritually alert, fortified and resistant to the stratagems of the adversary.

Therefore, make sure you’re grounded in a spiritual family, a home church, where the Word of God is continually taught and lived. Stay in fellowship with other Christians, and meditate regularly on the Word. Your spirit will be nourished and strengthened continually, and you’ll grow from grace to grace, faith to faith, and from glory to glory. Hallelujah!

Dear Father, thank you for the nourishment of your Word, which strengthens my spirit daily. I delight in your Word and meditate on it continually; it guides me in wisdom, strengthens my faith and keeps me victorious over every work of darkness. THE GIFT OF RIGHTEOUSNESS AND ITS POWER

For if by one man's offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ (Romans 5: 17).

Righteousness is the nature of God that reveals His rightness—His ability to be right, only and always right. It’s His equity in judgment, His fairness to anyone and everyone. This is why righteousness belongs to God alone; no man by his own effort can attain it.

This was the dilemma: God gave the Law, but man couldn’t keep it, not because the Law was wrong but because man by sin had lost the ability to fulfil it. How then could man relate with a God who demands absolute righteousness?

This is why the Lord Jesus came. He knew we could never attain righteousness by ourselves; it was impossible. So, He came to give us His life and nature. When you received Christ, you received the very life of God. Just as you were born into this world with human life, you were born again with the life and nature of Christ.

This new life came with a gift—righteousness. This isn’t human righteousness or righteousness by works; it’s the righteousness of God. It’s given, imparted, or bestowed. You don’t work for it; you receive it. This righteousness produces something extraordinary in you. It gives you the ability to live right, to do right, and to walk in God’s will.

More than that, it gives you boldness before God. You can stand in His presence without inferiority, without guilt, and without condemnation. This is your reality now that you’re born again. You’re not trying to become righteous; you’ve been made righteous. You don’t struggle to please God; you live out His nature that’s within you. This is the life of righteousness: living in dominion, with confidence, and in fellowship with the Father. Hallelujah!

I am the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus; this is my nature and my present reality. I reign in life, walking in dominion, boldness and excellence as a result of my right standing with God. His nature is expressed in and through me, and I walk in His perfect will today. Hallelujah!

UNDERSTANDING TRUE RIGHTEOUSNESS

But now a righteousness from God, apart from law, has been made known, to which the Law and the Prophets testify (Romans 3: 21 NIV)

Righteousness is a word many use without a proper understanding of what it means. The world can’t define righteousness; it must be understood from God’s perspective. How can a man who isn’t righteous describe righteousness? It’s impossible to define what you’ve never known or experienced.

For many, righteousness is reduced to moral uprightness, often an exaggerated view of personal conduct. Some consider themselves righteous in their work; others in their families or communities. But these are human attempts to define something divine.

The Scriptures tell us something important about man’s righteousness and the different kinds of righteousness that exist in the world: they’re as filthy rags: “But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away” (Isaiah 64:6).

That means every form of righteousness that originates from man, every standard built on human effort, and every confidence grounded in personal conduct falls short before God. No matter how morally upright one may appear, it doesn’t make him righteous before God. What then is righteousness? How does a man become righteous before God?

Romans 3:21 (NIV) gives us an idea; it says, “But now apart from the law, the righteousness of God has been made known….” This shows that there’s a righteousness from God and it isn’t based on performance or adherence to the Law. It’s something divine; it comes from God Himself.

Romans 5: 17 declares: “For if by one man's offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ.” The righteousness from God, therefore, is a gift. It’s not achieved; it’s received.

This changes everything. You don’t try to be righteous before God; you receive His gift of righteousness. It’s not about your efforts; it’s about what He has made available in Christ. This is the righteousness that qualifies you, empowers you, and brings you into right standing with God. We’ll explore this some more in our next study.

I’m the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus. Righteousness is my nature. I walk in the consciousness of my right standing, free from guilt, condemnation, and inferiority. I reign in life through Christ, expressing His nature and fulfilling His will in Jesus’ Name. Hallelujah!

THE KINDNESS OF GOD

📖And the king said, Is there not yet any of the house of Saul, that I may shew the kindness of God unto him?... (2 Samuel 9:3).

In the Old Testament, the word translated “mercy” comes from the Hebrew word “hesed.” It means lovingkindness, but more specifically, it is covenant kindness; kindness rooted in covenant, not in merit. The example of David and Jonathan’s son, Mephibosheth, gives us a clear and practical picture of how covenant mercy works (2 Samuel 9).

Long after Jonathan’s death and well into his reign as king, David was moved by the covenant he had made with Jonathan. He asked a deliberate question: “…Is there yet any that is left of the house of Saul, that I may shew him kindness for Jonathan's sake?” (2 Samuel 9:1).

David wasn’t asking if there was someone he could merely acknowledge. The word “shew” used means to demonstrate. David was looking for someone to whom he could practically and visibly demonstrate covenant kindness. In fact, in the 3rd verse, David called it the “kindness of God.” How profound!

Mephibosheth was lame in both feet and practically abandoned and forgotten by most. However, he was summoned to the king’s presence. But when he came before David, he fell on his face in fear. He expected judgment from the king who had succeeded his grandfather, King Saul.

But David’s first words were “Fear not”; that’s always the language of mercy. David restored to him all the land that had belonged to Saul and then offered him something greater still: a permanent place at the king’s table. This was covenant kindness, which David called “the kindness of God.”

Why did he call it the kindness of God? It’s because covenant kindness is shown toward someone who has no merit or claim to it. That person doesn’t qualify. True mercy flows from the greater to the lesser. By virtue of that mercy, the one with nothing is brought into royalty, lifted, honoured, and seated at the table, just as we are today seated together with Christ. This is the transforming power of covenant kindness.

It reminds of the Scripture: “He raiseth up the poor out of the dust, and lifteth up the beggar from the dunghill, to set them among princes, and to make them inherit the throne of glory...” (1 Samuel 2:8). Perhaps there’s someone coming to your spirit even now that requires your covenant kindness; go ahead and show that one the kindness of God.

Dear Father, I thank you for your covenant kindness and mercy toward me. I receive your lovingkindness with understanding and gratitude. I live in the consciousness of your mercy, enjoying the life of honour, fellowship and provision that you have brought me into, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

SUCCESS, VICTORY AND INCREASE

And he shall be like a tree firmly planted [and tended] by the streams of water, ready to bring forth its fruit in its season; its leaf also shall not fade or wither; and everything he does shall prosper [and come to maturity] (Psalm 1:3 AMPC).

God never produces failures. When a person is united with Christ, he or she steps into a life designed only for success, victory and increase. The nature of God in you produces excellence, progress and greatness. It’s the reality of the new creation life.

I came into this understanding very early. I was born again before I was nine years old and began to preach the Gospel not long after. I started winning my friends to Christ, and shortly after I was ten, I began a fellowship. By fifteen, I was already holding crusades. I have walked this path long enough to know beyond any argument that the Word works.

When God sets you on course and your mind is stayed on Him, the Word declares that He will keep you in perfect peace because you trust in Him. That peace is the peace of prosperity, a life that continually moves forward. The Scripture also says concerning the one who’s in Christ: Whatsoever he does shall prosper.

That’s the destiny of the one who lives by the Word; we saw that in our opening scripture. The one who doesn’t follow the advice of the ungodly is blessed. Some people allow ungodly friends, relatives, or neighbours to shape their decisions; no!

The blessed man delights in the Word of God and meditates on it day and night. He gives attention to the Word, and the Word shapes his life. The result is extraordinary: He becomes like a tree planted by the rivers of water, bearing fruit in season, and his leaf doesn’t wither; that means no failure with you. What a life!

When you give yourself to the Word, it programmes you for a one-way journey in life—upward and forward only. The Word is seed, and meditating on it keeps it deeply rooted in your spirit to govern your mentality such that you think success, victory, and glory only. Your life becomes the demonstration of the Word, causing you to have good success (Joshua 1:8). Hallelujah.

Dear Father, I thank you for the life of unending success that you’ve given me in Christ. Your Word works mightily in me, producing excellence, prosperity and victory; I heap success upon success. I think the Word, speak the Word and walk in the light of the Word every day, in Jesus Name. Amen.

GRACE, MERCY, AND PEACE

Grace be with you, mercy, and peace, from God the Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ... (2 John 1:3).

In several of the apostolic letters, the Spirit emphasizes a powerful benediction. For example, in some of Paul’s writings, he opens with the words, “grace, mercy, and peace, as in 1 Timothy 1:2, “...Grace, mercy, and peace from God our Father and Jesus Christ our Lord.” He repeats the same blessing in his second letter to Timothy and again to Titus.

The apostle John echoes it as well: “Grace be with you, mercy, and peace, from God the Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ...” (2 John 1:3). Why did the apostles consistently pronounce grace, mercy, and peace? It’s because of their profound importance in the Christian life.

The Scriptures reveal men and women who found grace in the sight of God. Noah, for example, foundp grace before the Lord even when judgment was determined upon the earth. Genesis 6:8 tells us, “But Noah found grace in the eyes of the LORD.” Grace positioned him for preservation and victory. This shows that when grace locates a man, mercy follows.

Grace, mercy and peace work together. Romans 5:1-2 connects our peace with God to the grace of Jesus Christ in which we stand: “Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ: By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand….”

When you find grace in God’s sight, He becomes merciful toward you. Hebrews 4 :16 says, “Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.” Grace is divine favour extended to you. It’s God’s work upon a person’s life.

In the Old Testament, the Hebrew word is “chen” and it means God’s gracious favour. Through that grace, through that act of divine favour, He exerts His influence upon your life to see to it that you succeed. His grace works upon your mind, helping you to think the right thoughts. It influences your heart and guides you to make the right decisions, beyond your natural ability or human intelligence.

Grace covers you, shields you, protects you, and keeps you from grave errors. Walk in this consciousness. You’re not left to your human ingenuity and ability alone; the influence of heaven is upon your life, directing your steps and causing you to produce results that exceed natural capacity. This is the life God has given you in Christ.

Dear Father, I thank you for your abundant grace, mercy, and peace at work in my life. Your divine influence guides my thoughts, decisions and actions, leading me in the path of success and righteousness, established in victory, in Jesus' Name. Amen.

PRESERVED BY HIS DIVINE POWER

📖For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7).

Our opening scripture clearly outlines fear as a phenomenon that’s not part of your spiritual nature or make-up. So, if you ever sense fear trying to take a hold of you, refuse it. In studying the Scriptures, you’d notice that whenever the Lord appeared to anyone in Bible days, often, His first words were “Fear not” as you’d observe in Isaiah 41: 10, Joshua 1:9, and Revelation 1: 17.
He commands us to refuse fear regardless of what is happening in the world. You carry the seal of God upon your life; a divine decree that separates you from everything that hurts or binds. You’re separated unto God. Remember the words of the Master: _*“…whosoever believeth in him should not perish...” (John 3: 16).

That’s because His seal of protection is on you (Ephesians 1: 13). Always declare boldly, “The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the LORD is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?” (Psalm 27:1).

You carry the glory of salvation with you. You don’t get into trouble, looking for escape; with every problem or danger, salvation is present; deliverance is sure. Before the challenge appears, you’re already ahead in victory. So, as you go about your life, ministry, and daily routine, let nothing frighten or intimidate you.

If circumstances look threatening, remember who you are: more than a conqueror (Romans 8 :37). The Lord Himself is your salvation. You’re preserved by His divine power, shielded by His presence, and marked for endless triumph. 2 Corinthians 2: 14 says, _“Now thanks be unto God, which always causeth us to triumph in Christ….” Hallelujah!

Therefore, live boldly and purposefully; speak with authority. Walk in the consciousness that you’re not of this world. The life in you is superior to every crisis, and the Spirit of God in you keeps you above harm. The Bible says, “…greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world” (1 John 4:4).

The Lord is my refuge and my strength, my salvation, in whom I’m shielded and preserved from all evil. His life in me is superior to every crisis and keeps me permanently over and above everything that hurts or binds. I have the spirit of power, love and a sound mind. Hallelujah!

AFFIRM GOD’S WORD OVER THE NATIONS

📖For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith (1 John 5:4).

Today, there’re systems and voices in the world that present themselves as guides to the nations, yet their ideas have brought confusion, hardship and economic destruction to many countries. These are organizations that claimed to offer solutions but instead misled leaders, crippled economies, and plunged nations into unnecessary debts.

Many governments, in times of global crisis, followed these voices without discernment, and the results were devastating. The Scripture already warned us about such influences: “They are of the world, therefore speak they of the world, and the world heareth them" (1 John 4:5).

But thanks be unto God! We’re not helpless spectators in the earth. As the Church of Jesus Christ, we have authority; we rule and we change things. Through prayer and the exercise of our faith, we’re able to dismantle the agenda of darkness. No organisation, ideology, or structure can control the nations as long as we take our place and stand against them in faith.

Our responsibility is to stand in the Spirit and affirm God’s Word over the nations and their leaders. Declare His peace and prosperity over the nations. He told us to do it: Luke 10:5-6, “And into whatsoever house ye enter, first say, Peace be to this house. And if the son of peace be there, your peace shall rest upon it: if not, it shall turn to you again."

We have amazing authority in His name to bless the nations: “By the blessing of the upright the city is exalted…” (Proverbs 11: 11). Through our words of blessing, the cities and nations of the world are exalted. They’re lifted from the thraldom of deception, economic woes and debt into the destinies that God ordained for them.

Through our faith and intercession, the will of God prevails in the earth. Therefore, keep praying for the nations and their leaders. As you do, the forces of darkness and their agendas will be subdued, and righteousness will be established in the nations. Declare that the leaders are not deceived and that divine wisdom guides them to lead their nations out of illegal and oppressive debts, and ungodly control. Hallelujah.

The nations are delivered from deception, and their leaders receive divine wisdom to promote and establish the righteousness of God in their lands. The agenda of the enemy for the nations of the world is frustrated and by the authority of the Name of the Lord Jesus, the triumph of Christ is enforced in every nation. Amen.

YOU’RE A SUCCESS

An orange seed may look small and unimpressive, but inside it is the capacity to produce an orange tree that’ll in turn produce multiplied fruits with several seeds in them. Everything the orange tree will ever be is already contained in that seed. The seed doesn’t need to “become” an orange; it’s already one. It only needs the right environment for what’s already inside it to manifest.

If that orange seed had a mouth and said, “I’m an orange,” someone might reply, “You don’t look like an orange; stop bragging.” But the seed isn’t lying or bragging; it carries the orange nature; put it in the right environment and see.

That was how I saw myself when I was still a teenager. I found out I was a success forever because the life of God, His seed, was in me, and I started declaring it and went ahead to start holding “Success in Life Seminars.” I would say, “I’m a success,” and some people wondered, “What’s he talking about?” But I knew.

I wasn’t saying it because I had already done everything I wanted to do. I was saying it because I understood what was inside me. That’s the life Christ has given us; you’re a success going somewhere to happen. Those who don’t know you may say you’re not but that’s because they don’t know your real identity. They don’t understand the work of God in your life.

You’re God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for endless victories, glory and excellence (Ephesians 2:10). His Word says concerning you that whatsoever you do prospers (Psalm 1:3). Stay in the Word and live true to your identity, and what God has put inside you will manifest in every place.

Dear Father, I thank you for the truth of your Word that reveals my identity. I live with the consciousness of victory and success, and I manifest the realities of Christ in my life. My faith prevails, and my results are a reflection of your glory and righteousness in my spirit, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

HE MADE US GREAT AND MADE US KINGS
📖And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing (Genesis 12:2).

Some people struggle with the idea of greatness. They resist it because it sounds excessive or inappropriate. So they say, “Don’t talk about me being great; that’s too much.” But God made us great because we’re the seed of Abraham. Our greatness was His idea; we didn’t ask for it.

It wasn’t Abraham who said, “...O, God, make me great.” It was God who said to Abraham, _*“...I will bless thee, and make thy name great...” (Genesis 12:2). So, as a Christian, when you shrink back from greatness, it’s incongruous with your identity and with God’s plan for your life. Ponder the fact that God reiterated with unmistakable clarity in Genesis 17:6 what He had said in Genesis 12:2, _“And I will make thee exceeding fruitful, and I will make nations of thee, and kings shall come out of thee”_ (Genesis 17:6).

Observe that it says, “Kings shall come out of thee.” This is consistent with what the Scripture reveals about us in Christ:“…much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ” (Romans 5 :17). The literal sense of the word “reign” in the verse above is to “king.” It’s the verb of kingship.

Therefore, you could say, “They which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall king in life by Jesus Christ.” And it gets even stronger. The Bible says He has “…made us kings and priests unto God and his Father...” (Revelation 1:6). Our title as kings isn’t futuristic but a present-moment reality. He has made us kings.

What do kings do? They rule and reign. They exercise authority and dominion in their realm. This is why you must never talk like a victim, act helpless, or see yourself as ordinary. You’re great, and you’re a king. The Bible says, _*“Where the word of a king is, there is power…” (Ecclesiastes 8:4). Kings don’t beg or grovel; they speak with authority. They comport themselves with dignity. Kings manifest royalty.

Every so often, say, “I know who I am; I’m great, and I’m a king. I reign and rule in life.” You’re not trying to hype yourself when you say this but merely affirming what God has done, who He’s made you. It’s your identity; He made you great and made you a king.

Dear Father, I thank you for your blessing and greatness at work in my life. I walk in the consciousness of who I am in Christ, reigning in life by your gift of grace and righteousness. My words carry power, my life reflects dominion, and I manifest your glory everywhere, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

DIVINE AUTHORISATION FOR UNSTOPPABLE GROWTH

📖Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end... (Isaiah 9:7)

Once, many years ago, the Lord said to me, “Son, keep growing.” Instantly, it registered in my spirit and I understood what He meant; it was a license to grow, a divine authorization to keep making progress without restraint. And that has been my life and my experience; anything I get involved with grows, and the growth is ever-increasing.

For example, this devotional is available in every known language and dialect of the world and distributed in every known nation and territory on earth. This isn’t the work of a man. Our Healing Streams programme reaches over 7 billion participants around the world and in every language known to be spoken on earth.

This is somewhat astonishing and a mystery to some people, so they say it can’t be real. Well, it’s God’s work, and when you understand how God works, you’d know He gives different graces as He wills. Also, the Bible says He sets boundaries that men can’t pass over (Psalm 104:9). In other words, there’re people whose boundaries, the extent of what they can achieve, have been determined by God. When they reach that measure, they’ve fulfilled what God assigned to them and God is pleased because they’ve fulfilled His purpose.

But for some of us, our progress is unstoppable; it’s ever-increasing until the Master shows up. The Master Himself is the greatest example of such ever-increasing and limitless growth. The prophecy about Him says, “Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end...” (Isaiah 9:7).

That means His government, His rulership, dominion, and peace, never stops. It keeps spreading until it takes over the whole world. His peace keeps expanding as we declare and enforce it in all nations. Hallelujah.

Dear Father, thank you for your purpose and your direction for my life. I receive your Word into my spirit and I walk in the light of your plan. I keep growing, increasing and expanding in all that you have appointed for me. My life produces results that glorify you, and your peace and dominion spread through me, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

CHRIST—THE CHIEF CORNERSTONE

...The stone which the builders rejected, the same is become the head of the corner: this is the Lord’s doing, and it is marvellous in our eyes? (Matthew 21: 42).

We learnt, in our previous study, one of the clearest truths in Scripture: The Lord Jesus Christ is the foundation of the Church. This is not an idea or a mere concept. In Matthew 21: 42, He identified Himself as the stone spoken of in prophecy, the One rejected by the builders yet chosen by God to become the head of the corner.

The Apostle Paul, by the Spirit, also stated this plainly in 1 Corinthians 3 :11, “For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ.” That settles it. The Lord Jesus Christ is the only true foundation. No other foundation can be laid.

This aligns perfectly with the prophecy of Isaiah: “Therefore thus saith the Lord God, Behold, I lay in Zion for a foundation a stone, a tried stone, a precious corner stone, a sure foundation…” (Isaiah 28 :16). God was speaking here about a Person—Christ Jesus, who also quoted the same prophetic words in Psalm 118:22, when He said, “…Did ye never read in the scriptures, The stone which the builders rejected, the same is become the head of the corner: this is the Lord's doing, and it is marvellous in our eyes?” (Matthew 21: 42).

The rejection of Christ didn’t cancel God’s plan. It fulfilled it. The One they refused became the cornerstone of God’s eternal structure. In Acts chapter 4, the apostles proclaimed this truth boldly and made it unmistakable: “This is the stone which was set at nought of you builders, which is become the head of the corner” (Acts 4 :11).

This is why the “rock” Jesus spoke of in Matthew 16 is not a revelation, and it’s not Peter. The Scriptures consistently identify Christ as the Rock, the Stone, the Foundation, and the Chief cornerstone. Paul further confirms this in Ephesians 2: 20 when he said by the Spirit that we “...are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone.”

The stability of the Church is Christ, and those who believe in Him are founded on the Rock, immovable and victorious forever! This is the glory of the Gospel. Hallelujah!

I’m founded on Christ, the Sure Foundation and Chief Cornerstone of the Church. My faith is anchored on Him alone and my life is built on His unshakable truths. I walk in stability, confidence and victory because I am founded on the Rock, Christ Jesus. Amen!

THE CHURCH IS BUILT ON CHRIST

📖And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God. And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven. And I say also unto thee, THAT THOU ART PETER, AND UPON THIS ROCK I WILL BUILD MY CHURCH…” (Matthew 16: 16-18).

Over the years, many have grossly misunderstood the underlined portion of the scripture above. Some have assumed the “rock” was the revelation Peter gave when he said Jesus was the Christ. Others have even assumed the “rock” was Peter himself. But neither of these is true.

The Lord Jesus was speaking about a Person when He said, “Upon this rock”; He was referring to Himself—Christ! In Greek, the distinction becomes even clearer. The Lord Jesus called Peter “Petrus,” meaning a stone, but He referred to the foundation as “Petra,” meaning a rock, a founding stone.

The Lord is that rock. He wasn’t saying, “Upon this ‘Petrus’ I will build my Church” but “Upon this ‘Petra,’” which is Christ the Rock, a foundation, a sure cornerstone: “...Behold, I lay in Zion for a foundation a stone, a tried stone, a precious corner stone, a sure foundation...” (Isaiah 28:16). Christ had already been known in prophetic writings as the Rock.

So, when Peter said, “Thou art the Christ,” he was declaring that the Lord Jesus was the promised foundation. He was the one spoken of as the sure cornerstone. And the Master responded by revealing the prophetic reality: the Church would be built upon Christ, the Rock, and nothing from hell could prevail against it.

This connects with the prophetic vision in Daniel. Daniel spoke of the stone cut out without hands that struck the image at its feet of iron and clay, and the whole structure collapsed (Daniel 2: 34-35). That stone became a great mountain and filled the whole earth.

The interpretation was clear: “Then was the iron, the clay, the brass, the silver, and the gold, broken to pieces together, and became like the chaff of the summer threshingfloors; and the wind carried them away, that no place was found for them: and the stone that smote the image became a great mountain, and filled the whole earth” (Daniel 2: 35). That's the mountain of the Lord's house.

The stone is Christ, and that mountain is His everlasting dominion. The Church is built on Christ, and because the Church stands firm on Him, the gates of hell cannot prevail against it. This is the certainty of our faith. Christ is our Rock; we’re established on Him forever.

Dear Father, thank you for the light of your Word and the certainty of the truth revealed in Christ. My faith is established on Christ, the Rock, and the Gospel prevails in every nation, and the righteousness of Christ is established in the hearts of men, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

USE THE WORD TO JUDGE THE RIGHT COUNSEL

📖From that time forth began Jesus to shew unto his disciples, how that he must go unto Jerusalem, and suffer many things of the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be killed, and be raised again the third day (Matthew 16:21).

Matthew 16 reveals an important moment between the Lord Jesus and His disciples. After they had been preaching and declaring Him the Christ, the Master began to focus inward, revealing what was to come. He instructed His disciples to keep His identity secret for the time being.

Soon after, He explained that He must go to Jerusalem, suffer many things, be killed, and then raised back to life. Upon hearing all that, Peter did something unbelievable. The Bible says he took the Lord aside “…and began to rebuke him, saying, Be it far from thee, Lord: this shall not be unto thee” (Matthew 16:22).

Think about that; Peter rebuking the Master. The Lord knew it was Satan who spoke through Peter and addressed Satan directly, saying, “…Get thee behind me, Satan: thou art an offence unto me: for thou savourest not the things that be of God, but those that be of men” (Matthew 16: 23).

Peter, on that occasion, must have been startled, because he wasn’t aware it was the devil who put those words in his mouth. It matters who you’re speaking for. Only give vent to the things that be of God. Never lend your voice in support of Satan.

It’s the reason knowing the Word and having it renew your mind is so important. Let the Word of God dwell in you richly (Colossians 3 :16). The knowledge of God’s Word makes you discerning; you’re able to judge good from evil and prove (allow) the good, acceptable, and perfect will of God (Romans 12:2). With the light of God’s Word, you’re able to judge what’s coming from you, what’s coming from Satan or what’s coming from God.

Dear Father, thank you for your Word that gives me understanding and discernment. My heart is established in your truth, and I recognise every thought, voice and influence that is not from you. My knowledge of your Word guides me, and I speak in alignment with your will at all times. I walk in victory, and I live conscious of who I am in Christ. Hallelujah!
