People are eating weeds because food supplies in occupied Oleshky, Ukraine, are all but exhausted, the BBC reports.

Some residents are eating only once a day; the town has no electricity, water, or gas, shops are closed, and medicines are scarce.

Leaving the town is also difficult, as the Russians have mined the roads and no humanitarian corridor has been agreed upon.

6,000 people remain in the town, including at least 200 children.

Росія ніколи не була державою-засновницею Організації Об’єднаних Націй. Під Декларацією Об’єднаних Націй від 1 січня 1942 року відсутній будь-який підпис представників Росії. Російська Федерація (РСФСР або Росія) не була ані членом-засновником ООН, ані учасником Конференції в Сан-Франциско 1945 року - на відміну від України, яка 27 квітня 1945 року була офіційно включена до переліку держав-засновниць ООН. Росія ніколи не проходила жодної офіційної процедури прийняття в ООН.

Більше того, Російська Федерація ніколи не ратифікувала Статут ООН, що є обов’язковою умовою для держав-членів відповідно до статті 110 Статуту. Таким чином, Статут ООН формально не є обов’язковим для Росії, що вона послідовно демонструє протягом усієї своєї новітньої історії.
