It all depends on the environment the parents foster. If they're openly unwelcoming to queer identities, then yes, probably a problem, but if they're openly WELCOMING to those same identities, it's perfectly fine.

A lot of parents just want their kid to be "normal". Bad mindset.

Being straight is seen as "normal" that's why the moment they make their sexuality their whole personality everyone considers it a discussion, but when queer people do it it's considered "pushing an agenda".
