The teacher stopped immediately and got another teacher to calm her down. This made think about a few things. How do you make sure the children who do not speak a language you can speak or another child can speak, know what you are saying

She did this by translating the instructions through google translate into her language. After a while, the teacher went back to her to see if she understood something. When the teacher tried to talk to her and help her she started crying.

This is what the teacher told me. I was observing a math class and she did not understand what was being said. She didnt talk and the teacher told me that she does not talk at all. When the teacher was done with the general instructions she went to the girl and tried to help her.

So today, I was doing an observation in another class. There is one child who just got in this class this school year. She just moved to the Netherlands form an Asian country. She had been very shy the first few weeks. She did not look up and only wanted to sit down.
