@TheViperAOE 8/10. I have been enjoying it a lot; particularly single player. I still prefer AOE2 for general competitive multiplayer, though I think AOM will be fun and preferable for casual games with friends.

@AllForBianqa @officialatraes @Rothmus Every playable roleplaying character is bisexual these days, so players have the choice to romance anyone they want. But that also means everyone in the game hits on you. If not going with a canonical orientation, I wish they would just let players choose at the start of game.

@Neadoromon @paradox303_ That is not true in this case. My understanding that arrangements were already made for the match after this one to be on Thursday regardless of the outcome; three days later. There was no scheduling conflict.

@paradox303_ @sanduckhan What rubs me wrong the most with the admin response is the claim that they sometimes give rules exceptions and try to avoid penalizing players while at the same time giving no explanation as to why one wasn’t made in this case. What is the threshold needed for a rules exception?

@paradox303_ @sanduckhan It could be as simple as if any player (even not involved in match) or the organizer (for streaming/coverage reasons) have a problem with it, then don’t allow. But it seems like not a single non-admin has voiced any concern with the reschedule, yet it is still is not allowed.

@Margougou21 Unprofessional of them to make speculative assumptions on intent while at the same time complaining about community speculating about their motivations. If both players are fine with rescheduling why not let them? Surely that is better than no games at all. Rules need changing

@sanduckhan @paradox303_ Exactly; admins did not indicate that knowing the specifics would have made any difference. That said, instead of placing blame, a better solution is to just change the rules to allow more flexibility in future events. If both players are okay rescheduling, why not allow them?

@paradox303_ I understand not wanting to make exceptions; strict rules removes the need for judgement calls. However, I also think the rules could use improvement. If both players in a match are okay with rescheduling, I don’t see the problem; it is a better solution than a forfeit.

@paradox303_ Also, there is no indication that knowing what the family event was would have made any difference. The impession I get is that they want to strictly follow rules for everyone and not make exceptions in order to avoid any bias or appearance of favoritism.
