I am deeply grateful for all the support you have shown in response to my statement about the tragic passing of Liam, and for the continued outpouring of love and comfort for his family and close loved ones. Your kindness has meant the world during such a heartbreaking time.

While talks have now begun about the importance of protecting future generations in the creative industries, I want to emphasise that we must also recognise and support those who have already suffered. There are countless individuals who have faced abuse, negligence, and exploitation, and many of their stories have been overlooked, ignored, or dismissed for far too long.

It’s not enough to focus on what’s ahead. We must call for investigations into historic cases, especially those that have been silenced by misused non-disclosure agreements (NDAs) and confidentiality clauses, or swept aside due to the statute of limitations. These victims deserve to have their voices heard and their pain acknowledged.

It is crucial that we ask industry leaders, law enforcement, and the legal and justice system to support this call to action by opening investigations into these historic cases—highlighting those related to television shows and the companies associated/affiliated where negligence and exploitation have occurred. Accountability is long overdue, and we cannot allow these injustices to remain hidden any longer.

Now is the time for the industry and the broader community to stand up and demand accountability—not just for the future, but for the past.
