Timothée Chalamet lost the role of Spider-Man in 2015 to Tom Holland largely because he lacked the acrobatic and physical skills Holland brought to the audition.
As much as I loved BND
The next movie better have a dedicated Spider-Man villain with no connection to tony stark, show an actual balancing act between peter’s relationships and spider-man, and actual jokes
@OnlyMagikarp i think it absolutely has its place and should be adapted, his relationship with JJJ is just as important as anyone in his rogues gallery, it just doesn’t work as well as a printed newspaper these days. I liked the direction they had with it in NWH 🙌🏾
what sucks about modern adaptations of comics is that you will either have people complain about outdated references that don’t relate to modern day (valid) or people complain about comic inaccuracy because certain things just don’t exist/work in a modern context (also valid)
since the MCU basically stole Miles’ best friend and turned him into Ned Leeds, i think it’s only fair that MCU Miles gets a new best friend who’s wealthy, mysterious, and has a suspiciously green goblin-shaped father
if theres any lesson that marvel learns from the success of BND i hope its that people yearn for smaller-scale movies that aren’t just setup for something else or crossover slop
