The lead shipper in the $208 million Australian methamphetamine scandal has been arrested by the Narcotics Control Commission (NACOC) in a joint operation with the Bureau of National Investigations and other security agencies .
Director General of NACOC, Brigadier General Maxwell Obuba Mantey, confirmed the arrest on Wednesday, June 24, 2026, noting that the suspect is a Ghanaian national whose identity is being withheld for security reasons as investigations continue .
