Wenn die Lösung so einfach ist, warum werden dann z.B. ähnliche Systeme wie Pantsir so oft von Dronen getroffen - nicht mal fähig sich selber zu verteidigen?

@deaidua iirc according to diehl, it’s mainly because the IRIS-T warhead is relatively small and designed for fragmentation. Even a direct hit against the thick steel nose of a BM might not be sufficient to take it out.

A clear example of the effectiveness of the western way of the survivability. On the video crew member of a Ukrainian Leopard-2A4 showing the hole made by a ruSSian drone and exploded ammunition rack, but the crew compartment is intact.

@DRatka1 Nr 2. is not a Leopard 2, it’s a YPR-765 APC. You can see the engine bottom left and it’s thrown track top left. The crew hatch in the back and the driver hatch is also visible.

@JamesRaxz @DefMon3 Most of the Strv 122s and Leo’s are being recovered, as Ukraine controls the area where they were lost.
Abrams isn’t so lucky, front being pushed back. Not a single recovery to my knowledge.
