@feigust@_nightsweekends@_buildspace Hmm good question. Ideally something that’s environmentally friendly. Default material for printers is polyester which is a pretty standard trash material.
Hopefully I won’t be producing much trash through my prototypes…
@CherxChair@_nightsweekends@_buildspace My plan right now is either just a few meters below the surface for big materials or really deep trenches for very small particles. Ultimately wherever current solutions are not covering! https://t.co/mw98IHOGWC
@buidlcity@_nightsweekends@_buildspace Thank you @buildcity! Oh yeah great point. I can’t edit my post w/ my free account, but here’s my tagline:
“building an ocean cleanup submarine with a 3d printer”
Second week of @_nightsweekends
at @_buildspace!
My first print was a small bodyboard. Learned two things: the material is light enough it actually floats and I need to make the print fine so it’s water resistant🏄♂️🧜♂️🌊
Next: CAD and fluid mechanics 🌊🌊🌊💻💻💻
