@Cannon_Gov There are new considerations to change 1 split in the season to 2 splits. This makes 3 opening days while still maintaining 10 weeks of hunting. Also it is being considered to change the East, West, and Coastal zone into only 2: East and West.

@Cannon_Gov Now all migratory bird hunters must register with HIP when you can get a license. This also comes with a $2 convenience fee which might be inconvenient for hunters who feel like this should be like it has, a free service.

@Cannon_Gov The goals of the government program HIP (Harvest Information Program) is to collect harvest samples for many migratory birds from various registered members.

@Cannon_Gov Many of the wildlife management areas across the state are making changes to their hunting and fishing seasons and regulations.

@Cannon_Gov I’m noticing that the biggest changes to all of the rules and regulations is the wording. The Department is going back into the rules and changing the wording to be more specific.
