Actresses Kristel Fulgar and Shaira Diaz spoke openly about their personal decision to remain virgins until marriage.

In a sit-down vlog on Kristel's YouTube channel, they discussed how society often views being a virgin at their age as something embarrassing.

"Sabi nila, kapag kunwari, ganitong age ka tapos virgin, parang nakakahiya. No. Parang for me, it's something to be proud of. Sabi nila, iba na 'yung generation ngayon. Pero natutuwa ako sa mga nagki-keep rin ng promise nila sa sarili nila kagaya natin," Kristel expressed.

Shaira echoed the sentiment, saying conversations about readiness and responsibility are crucial given the realities of building a family today. She, however, clarified that their views were not meant to criticize others.

"And it's normal... Ang hirap bumuo ng pamilya sa Pilipinas, lalo na kung wala kang family planning, 'di ba?... We have nothing against naman din dun sa mga naka-try na agad," Shaira added.

Both got married in 2025 to their respective partners: Ha Su Hyuk with Kristel, and Shaira with actor EA Guzman.
