American HVAC worker shows that an old air conditioning unit is still running perfect on top of a home that was made in 1978
“Original to the home. 56 degrees coming out of this. They don't make them like they used to. 48 years and still going.”
America needs to make planned obsolescence illegal. Our modern products are being engineered to break after a set amount of years
We should not be buying things designed to break
Even The European Union has made stronger rules against planned obsolescence
Corporation: "We made $4B but spent $3.9B so we only owe taxes on $100M."
Government: "Totally reasonable."
You: "I made $60K but spent $58K on survival."
Government: "You owe taxes on $60K."
You: "That's not—"
Government: "File by May 15."
I want everyone to stop and ask what interest Google has in releasing mosquitoes. They’re a tech company. Not an environmental group. Not a non-profit. Not a government. A tech company. Just like Bill Gates, I don’t want them anywhere near our wildlife or nature. CC: @LeeMZeldin
A Dollar General employee with diabetes started feeling the symptoms of a hypoglycemic episode while working at the cash register.
She grabbed a $1.69 orange juice from the store and drank it to stabilize her blood sugar, then paid for it after the medical emergency passed.
She did pay for it.
But the company fired her anyway, calling it “grazing” because she consumed the item before purchase.
Later, a jury sided with her and awarded her $277,565 total, including $27,565 in back pay and $250,000 in compensatory damages.
> Starbucks' AI can't even count coffee cups right
> Microsoft pulling the plug on Claude for its own team
> Uber burned $3.4B in AI budget in 4 months just to see zero return
3 massive setbacks for AI taking our jobs this week.
NATURE IS HEALING. WE ARE SO BACK.
A guy racked up a $300 tab tonight. Top shelf tequila.
When the bill came, he laughed and said, "Do you know who I am? I have 50k followers. Let's call it a collab."
He held up his phone like it was a Black Card.
I looked at him. I picked up the debit machine.
I said, "That’s cool, man. But the landlord doesn't take 'Story Views' for rent. Visa or Debit?"
The silence at the table was loud. He paid.
Influence is not currency. Pay your bill like an adult.
My kid's school asked me to donate supplies.
Paper. Pencils. Hand sanitizer. Tissues.
I pay property taxes.
My state has a $4 billion surplus.
The federal education budget is $238 billion.
And the teacher is buying pencils out of her own paycheck.
And I'm sending in Ziploc bags.
We fund stadiums for billionaires with public money.
We fund schools with bake sales.
And then blame teachers when test scores drop.
Here’s your daily reminder that your tax dollars are going to men like this to run “daycares” who can’t even answer a basic question about the $2,250,000 they receive from our tax dollars
“F*cking million dollars, don’t worry about it!”
ARREST ALL THE FRAUDSTERS
I heard doordash was stealing tips from their drivers so out of curiosity, I asked the woman who dropped off my tacos how much it's showing that I tipped her; she said $5. I showed her my phone where I tipped $20 (bc the taco place was busy and she waited for my order). 😐
A US soldier shared a testimony from her time overseas.
She said her team used to laugh at her and call her "church girl" because she prayed before every mission. Some told her they did not want to hear her prayers. She prayed anyway.
Later, she was pulled off the road as punishment.
She said her team started getting hit by bombs every time she was not with them. Then her team leader came to her and asked her to come back.
He told her, "We keep getting hit and we need your protection. Whatever you're praying, it's working."
She said she went back out, and they were never hit again.
Maya Johnson brought home 300 people, and nobody from her group died.
This is a powerful reminder that prayer is not weak. This testimony shows that the one true God hears, protects, and still answers prayer.
🔥🚨DEVELOPING: 28 Disney cruise members were arrested for human trafficking. This story has been getting swept under the rug, so let’s dig it up.
CBP says 27 of the 28 crew members arrested were involved in either the "receipt, possession, transportation, distribution, or viewing of CSEM or child pornography." Twenty-six of those detained were from the Philippines; another crew member was from Indonesia and the other was from Portugal. CBP says all of those detained are being returned to their countries of citizenship.
"We have a zero-tolerance policy for this type of behavior and fully cooperated with law enforcement," a spokesperson for Disney Cruise Line told Variety. "While the majority of these individuals were not from our cruise line, those who were are no longer with the company."
