hey @Microsoft@Windows
when I right click on an application's entry in the Start Menu and select "Uninstall", one of the things I do not want to happen is to be taken to the list of all installed applications.
Do you know what I DO want to happen? Should be obvious.
well I remember why I don't walk around the neighborhood in the winter that often and it's not the cold... it's people who don't SHOVEL THEIR GOD DAMN SIDEWALKS IT'S NOT THAT HARD SOME OF THEM EVEN HAVE SNOWBLOWERS THAT I CAN SEE WHICH THEY USED JUST TO CLEAR THEIR DRIVEWAYS
it turns out the reason my simulation was failing was because I was trying to take a standard deviation but I had removed all the replicates so it was trying to divide by zero... d'oh.
"Treat other people the way you want to be treated" ok I can do that
"Nick why are you so quiet? Why can't you be more friendly?" Uh what did you just tell me
you know what bothers me a ton? That there are 3 different units called "ton" in current usage which all mean similar but slightly different amounts of weight.
"Select all the squares that have motorcycles in them" well several of the squares have PART of ONE motorcycle in them but none of them have MULTIPLE ones, so, I'm right not to select any of them!
At work they put up a bunch of TVs in the common areas. But instead of doing something logical with them, like playing Star Trek: Voyager on repeat, they just have a boring slideshow about whatever corporate news I could find by going on the company portal if I cared.
The clear choice would've been to put Star Trek: Voyager on, every episode, in order, including the one that doesn't exist where they turn into huge salamanders, but they don't even do something half useful like putting the cafeteria menu up.
Arwen: You're a funny little boy. How do you know so much?
Young Aragorn: I listen to all the traders and rangers who come through here. I'm a ranger, you know, and someday I'm going to simply walk away from this place.
Young Aragorn: Are you an angel?
Arwen: What?
Young Aragorn: An angel. I've heard the DΓΊnedain rangers talk about them. They live on the isle of Iego, I think. They're the most beautiful creatures in all Arda.
