the choice of villain helps dictate what the arc of the story will be.

Also? Martin Li is not a mutant, but was altered by D-Lite. His primary motivation is destroying the Maggia, not saving a relative.

Adding him without changing him is ostensibly a huge change to the story.

@JackCraka114646 @GregHeffleyOG Jean gray was mentally projecting into people in the movie, and Mr. negative can corrupt/invert people’s personalities in a manner that benefits him, but it’s not total control. Also? It requires physical contact. A big part of the film before her full abilities
