India is the aggressor here—and an incredibly irrational one. This has nothing to do with Pahalgam, whose perpetrators we still don’t have confirmed.* It is one of the world’s biggest powers, run by extreme right wing ethnonationalism, armed with nukes and now attacking another nuclear power while the people it occupies, the Kashmiris, will be the greatest casualties.

It also seems that India is using the 2020 Azerbaijani/Turkish approach that was used against Nagorno-Karabakh/Armenia: using drones to test Pakistan’s air defense capabilities before determining weaknesses / targets.

Pakistan has done a great job hiding its military assets — they also have a superior AWAC and air/ground radar systems which allow for them to detect IAF. But if/once the Indians figure out military locations, then we are in uncharted & extremely dangerous territory.

De-escalation is paramount but seems unlikely.
