@stratostones You gotta remember he had a baby that year too! Jack was working on 30 minutes of meaningful sleep every day we had him- it’s hard enough to teach with a full night’s rest, but he was running on literally nothing but PASSION… Happy to call him a mentor and now a colleague!
One more for concert season- Bands in Review East so far going amazingly! @A2_ClagueMS was awesome, @A2Scarlett blew me away, #CHSJazz killin the interludes and the @HuronHighA2 Bands are pushing the envelope!! What a great night of collaboration and community for our @A2schools!
Great to see some former a @A2_ClagueMS students play some mean charts with the Michigan Youth Jazz Orchestra, directed by my teacher and mentor, Dennis Wilson. They’re playing with the band I’m in, Paul Keller Orchestra on the set break!
It’s one thing to hear great music at the @A2schools Bands in Review, it’s another thing to hear some of the pieces composed by your mentor teacher (and amazing composer), @ADPerkins1978!
Also have to send a shoutout to our AMAZING PARENTS who packed the Pioneer HS Band Room to support their students in our sight reading demonstration! Your support means the world to us!!!!
Shoutout to the @A2_ClagueMS Bands scored all “Division I” ratings at MSBOA Band Festival - both 7th and 8th graders got the highest rating you can get! Mr. MacArthur and Mr. Pakela are proud of you!!! @A2schools#worldready#cougarpride

The @astros are the only American League team to earn six consecutive ALCS appearances, and tonight they're making their fourth #WorldSeries run since 2017. You can bet we're rooting them on! #LevelUp#GoStros#PositiveEnergy
Watching fellow @umichsmtd alum and @theusarmyband saxophonist Chance Stine performing in the @naumburgfound International Saxophone Competition with a few 8th grade @A2_ClagueMS saxophonists! Some of them had Mr. Stine as a substitute teacher in 5th grade!!!
