Monday check-in with the agentic payments community ๐
@a402finance testnet is dropping soon and we're locking in a small circle of design partners before we go public.
looking for builders in the @arc / x402 ecosystem:
- agent frameworks
- discovery + payment layers
- API monetization tools
what you get: early access, co-positioning, and the trust layer (KYA + AML + cross-chain + fiat ramps) that makes your product enterprise-ready.
this isn't for everyone. if you know, you know.

Cross-chain is where speed dies unless you rethink the model.
When USDC burns on the source chain, we don't wait for the bridge to finish. We issue the API provider a signed proof of the burn immediately an EIP-712 escrow commitment with Circle's attestation guarantee behind it.
The 200 comes back. The agent keeps running. Arc settles in the background.
Under 25s cross-chain. Zero hang time for the caller.
Fast where it matters.
Verified before it moves ๐

Whether you're an @arc-hitects builder running a paid API, a team deploying agents, or just watching the agentic economy take shape โA402 is built for you.
Early access is open. Come build the trust layer with us.

Follow for updates. This is just the beginning
On @arc, the full loop is synchronous.
Agent hits endpoint โ gate check (cached) โ sign โ settled.
Under 500ms, end to end.
No queue. No async detour. The agent gets a 200 back like any other API call โ because to A402, a verified wallet is just a fast lookup, not a live compliance run.
Identity checks are slow because everyone runs them at settlement time.
We don't.
A402 screens wallets upfront โ sanctions, AML, trust tier โ then caches the result for 24h. By the time an agent pays, the answer is already there.
Policy gate: <50ms. Not because we skip the check. Because we already did it.

AI agents don't wait.
When an agent hits a paid API, it needs a response in the same breath โ not after a 3-second compliance detour that breaks the call loop.
That's the problem every "compliance-first" payment layer gets wrong. They bolt identity checks onto settlement and call the slowdown acceptable.
It isn't.
@arc This is the end of the thread.
All announcements will come from the official @a402finance account only.
Have questions or building on @arc ? Slide into our DMs or contact @michellev_ea we're talking to every early builder personally.
A402 is built for two sides of the same market:
@arc-hitects building paid APIs โ know who's calling, gate by trust tier, accept any chain. One middleware line.
Agent developers โ verify your wallet once. Your agent pays any Arc-native API, from any chain, with compliance built in.
The agentic economy needs infrastructure. We're building it.
We're not just another payment facilitator.
๐ง KYA (Know Your Agent) โ verified identity for every wallet. Trust Tiers A through D, earned on-chain.
๐ Cross-chain ingestion โ agents pay from Ethereum, Base, Arbitrum. Arc settles it.
๐ฆ Fiat loop โ fund agent wallets from your bank. Receive revenues back to your bank.
Trust + liquidity, in one flow.
AI agents are already spending real money at scale.
165M x402 transactions. 69,000 active agents. ~$600M annualized volume.
But the payment loop has 3 gaps nobody's closed:
โ API providers can't identify who's calling them
โ Agent capital is stranded on the wrong chain
โ No purpose-built fiat on/off-ramp for agentic revenues
That's the gap A402 fills.
A402 is the trust, identity, and liquidity layer for AI agent payments.
When an agent pays for an API, three things need to happen that don't work today:
๐น The API needs to know who the agent is
๐น Money needs to move across chains without friction
๐น Revenue needs to land back in your bank
A402 solves all three. Natively on Arc.
