RISSO'S DOLPHIN CALVES!
A wonderful start to the day for our @shetlandwild 'Ultimate Shetland' group with lovely views of a nursery pod of Risso's Dolphins off the coast of the south Mainland, Shetland. Some of the calves were tiny. Aerial footage showing a few of them this morning. Magical!
It has been an amazing 24 hours for our third 'Ultimate Shetland' group of the season with fabulous views of Red-necked Phalarope (pictured), a night trip to see Storm Petrels on Mousa and a very active Bottlenose Dolphin - still exceptionally rare in Shetland inshore waters.

Rumours were flying this week of a very special creature appearing at the west end of the island... went out tonight hoping to see it, and there it was! Rathlin's world famous Golden Hare, staring back at us with its beautiful blue eyes 🤩
