Grain Rain (谷雨 ) is the 6th solar term and the last term in spring, in Chinese calendar. It more often refers to the day when the Sun is exactly at the celestial longitude of 30°, which usually comes on April 19-21. This year,  Grain Rain comes on 4/20 1:07am ET.

2/19 Rain water, the 2nd solar term in Chinese calendar, signals the increase in rainfall and rise in temperature. With its arrival, lively spring-like scenery starts blossoming: the river water defreezes, wild geese move from south to north, and trees and grass turn green again.

Start of Spring, the first solar term, begins rabbit year on 2/2 and ends on 2/18. It lifts the curtain of spring. After that everything turns green and full of vigor; people clearly see that the daytime is becoming longer and the weather is becoming warmer.

中国传统农历属于阴阳历，不是阴历，阿拉伯历法才是阴历，也即是回历。回历以公元622年穆罕默德创教为元年。Chinese calendar is a Lunisolar calendar. To ppl with China origin Nongli New Year is the correct phrase instead of Lunar blah blah. #HappyChineseNewYear
