SORRY IF THIS OFFENDS GROCERY EXECUTIVES, BUT I’M DONE.
I just pulled a $4.99 box of cereal off the shelf, brought it to the register, and watched the scanner ring it up as $7.49.
When I told the cashier, she said: "Oh, that’s the digital coupon price. You have to download our store app, create an account, search for the item, and clip the digital coupon before scanning."
ABSOLUTELY NOT.
You inflated the shelf price by 50%, locked the normal price behind an app, and forced me to hand over my personal phone data and email just to pay the actual retail value of a box of food?
Stop hiding basic shelf pricing behind data-harvesting apps.
This Forbes investigation is a must-read.
Donald Trump pulled in roughly $1.4 billion from crypto in 2025, plus more than $200 million from real estate, and faced a projected tax bill north of $500 million. So his company donated the "development rights" to his Jupiter, Florida golf course to a land trust, argued the course was a natural habitat worth protecting, and kept right on running the club. Forbes estimates the write-off could land around $825 million.
He has done this at least five times since 2005. New York's attorney general alleged two of those appraisals were inflated. In Doral, he claimed a deduction of up to $323 million, more than double what he paid for the entire resort.
A month after the Jupiter deal, he sued the IRS. The settlement his own Justice Department signed bars claims against him over matters that "could be pending," language that appears broad enough to cover this year's taxes. A federal judge found the case was brought to manipulate the judicial process. And the man now running the IRS, who took the job as this deal was being assembled, has a home backing onto those same Jupiter fairways.
This is absolutely ridiculous. Nobody should be able to use the presidency to write his own tax bill.

@piersmorgan Of course you asked that question, “why did she not go public?” Why did the investigation take so long? Why did THE POLICE stay silent? Why are YOU making it her responsibility?! We can assume she was told not to say anything.
You’re a miserable twatwaffle Piers
NEW: Vivek Ramaswamy says Amy Acton being a victim of childhood sexual abuse makes her “flawed” while defending his ad featuring her estranged mother.
“In politics sometimes it's a tough sport.”
No, you know what this is about? Your ego. It’s bad enough we’re gerrymandered to hell & back, we’ve got low Dem turnout, & now your ego has to step into the spotlight. Good god man, of all the irresponsible shit you could’ve done.
Independent doesn’t count, it fuckin COSTS!
He drove his wife to one of the best hospitals in America for a planned caesarean. A routine one. Her second.
Charles Johnson watched her blood collect in a catheter bag for ten hours while he asked for help.
Kira Johnson died at 2:22am.
Cedars-Sinai, Los Angeles, 12th April 2016. Kira Johnson was 39. She spoke five languages, raced cars, ran marathons. The caesarean was scheduled. Everything about it was routine.
Her son Langston was delivered at midday.
By the afternoon her husband could see blood in her catheter. He told a nurse. He was told they would check.
He asked again. And again. A CT scan was ordered and then not performed. He has described being told, at one point, that his wife was simply not a priority right now.
He stood in a corridor for ten hours asking people to look at his wife.
They took her back to theatre just after midnight. There were three litres of blood in her abdomen. She died shortly after.
Her son Langston was twelve hours old.
Charles Johnson has spent the decade since as one of the most effective advocates in American maternal health. He founded 4Kira4Moms. He has testified before Congress. The federal Black maternal health legislation introduced in recent years carries work he pushed for.
He talks about one thing more than any other, and it is not the medicine.
It is the ten hours. He was standing right there, in the building, awake, articulate, asking. And it made no difference at all.
@meat_ce@Treeves2@evan7257 Not when the train is immobile. Waugh backs up past I10 & past Memorial on other side. Same for Montrose. Folks come flying through the neighborhoods trying to beat other drivers & damned near kill folks. The second the train stops the whole neighborhood braces itself. It’s scary
@elonmusk, newsflash buddy, YOU are not an American. Yet you’ve managed to siphon off how much money from the US Gov? Talk about abusing the system…your arrogant, weaponized dissociative low EI is astounding.
@EllenYChang@oop_echeng@gratifihouston Mac charity is for the free marketing & tax deductions. It isn’t altruistic in any way. He treats his employees like shit - high turnover employee rate at his company. Even his own family members who work for him are terrified of him. Has a lengthy record of abusing employees
