@pizzeriarena They still have to fill a roster before the draft. The vast majority of the roster will be players signed outside of the draft. Why would she focus on that. Regardless, calling to fire a GM before a single game has been played is hilarious.
@penaltyk1ll Worst team in the league having its best players poached and rumors of expansion teams drafting 2-5. It’s never been more over. Might go 0-30 next year (drafting 6th again with no gold plan points)
Working on confirmations here, but PWHL Detroit today has been tied to just about every available superstar.
Two that continue to come up are Hannah Bilka and Cayla Barnes.
Detroit has also been tied today to Daryl Watts and Hilary Knight.
That Stafford trade completely reshaped the Lions and without it they are probably on a 10 year drought too.
Idk how much value Larkin will bring back to the wings but it has the potential to similarly help the wings finish this rebuild and be contenders.
It’s crazy seeing how people are reacting to Larkin requesting a trade vs. how people reacted to Stafford.
One served his time and deserved a chance to win. Meanwhile the other apparently is a traitor and deserves to be burned at the stake.
@linda_connors@ghoststarpnw Wrong. The more natural and grammatically standard way to say it is with “the”.
Geographic features conventionally take on “the”:
I kayaked lake
I kayaked the lake
Technically though, both are acceptable. So this is a silly thing to try and correct someone on.
@NYRLouie@Mariucci_Guy Most talent on paper lmfao. Michigan had 5 first round draft picks in 2021, 4 in the top 5 (1,2,4,5,24). Not to mention the other 2 first round picks on the 21-22 roster.
@snazzygoth69 Fr, I live in Seattle but am a Red Wings fan first. I don’t even know everyone on the kraken yet have half-season tickets😂
Meanwhile I know everyone in the Detroit pipeline.
@IanKennedyCK@meanorus Is it possible they have more than (the assumed) three cities available? And it’s not that they’re negotiating to try and find a city but instead trying to narrow it down to which three do they choose?
What if they already hired GM’s and it’s just a matter of where they will be
@sportscryptid I don’t think anyone is using it as a reason Detroit doesn’t deserve a team. They’re using it as proof that people want to watch women’s hockey and it’s ridiculous no schools in Michigan have D1 women’s hockey.
@internetraj I think the big thing is not having to pay a subscription for core features. People don’t want to pay $200/yr for a watch, they just want a one time purchase. Apple, Google, Garmin, etc. get that.
I feel like it’s only a matter of time before a tech giant kills Oura Ring too.
