@testinhthis7667@tacularr he only got banned because of his status as a CC. Reshade is basically impossible for them to detect, and they didn’t detect it, he live streamed it! Has any regular player done the same, they still would (and are) doing it!
@tacularr you’ve been one of my favorite content creators for so long. I don’t use twitter often, but stay safe homie and I hope the devs realize that a permaban over such a soft cheat is setting such a shitty precedent and doesn’t do anything but garner anger and sadness. <3
@testinhthis7667@tacularr Because his income is tied to rust it means that if they tempban him for a month and threaten him with a perma, he’s more likely to stop than the average joe who can just get another acc for like $5. like how being suspended is much worse for the goody kids than the thugs.
@testinhthis7667@tacularr Got temp banned for cheating, got perma’d for being arrogant. It’s petty, and absurd.
A comparison between two similar, but different (with one being absurd), things is used to enlarge the faulty reasoning in the first prompt by comparing it to a different aspect of life.
@testinhthis7667@tacularr i’m going to continue insisting a permaban isn’t the right call unless a person were using esp/aim/trigger/walls/radar/anything else that gives a player a dominant, unbeatable advantage.
‘If you aren’t convinced by this, I don’t want to talk to you!’
@testinhthis7667@tacularr Nobody has ever argued he shouldn't be punished, but perma is just absurd lol.
Do you give death penalty to someone who commits a threatening but nonviolent crime, then talks shit to the police officers? Or do you just add a bit to his sentence since the crime is more important?
@testinhthis7667@tacularr Tac has income tied to the game, so this wake-up call is more than enough to make him completely stop cheating altogether.
I don't think Facepunch can easily detect reshade so it probably rarely happens to random people, and ban evading for a random person is sooo much easier.
@testinhthis7667@tacularr The distinction is relevant here, not sure where you got the idea it wasn't.
Streamers are naturally privileged because they support the game more than the average person in many ways.
@testinhthis7667@tacularr cheating is an overstatement. Unfair advantage over the uninitiated? yeah. Full on hacking is perma worthy, but not this. Also, his reliance on the game means he is rehabilitated way quicker AND stronger than any anonymous stream account.
@tacularr Really it’s kind of a grey area, reasonable for them to tempban definitely but idrc about all that- biggest hope for me is seeing more of your crazy gameplay on yt :) Fuck the haters man. Much love
@_boonedot @migs_rl @SoarzXCVII Say where what I said was inaccurate then? He responded to you, then when more people and you kept replying, he responded more. He saw the post because you @'ed him. He responds with the clip. I get you want to act like like you're a bigger man than you began this shit as, but...
@_boonedot @BenjiTV__ you must have the mental capacity to understand that "should have consequences" and "deserving of consequence" means the EXACT same thing regardless in this, and virtually all other, situations. You also never answered my question.
@_boonedot @BenjiTV__ does he deserve consequences for having an ego in mediocre 2s lobby, or for how he acted after? Because you've moved that goalpost multiple times from what I can tell
