@ToTheStarsMedia@tomdelonge@Peter_Levenda Just finished the book last week & it was amazing. I really loved how all these crazy threads in each part are pulled together towards the end of the last book. Truly stunning research and insane how the last few pages can be read as if they were written yesterday about America.
@CJRobichaud@MollyJongFast The difference between parties. D’s: Even if we flip all these seats and win congress we will still get vetoed and nothing will change. R’s: if just one D wins we are screwed as a society that we currently control.
I sell two swords a year, I’m good. I sell NO swords a year, I’m even better. The US Govt pays me a monthly fee to NOT sell any swords! - Donald and Doug’s Billion Dollar Movie
"Hold on. We the taxpayers are going to pay companies $900 million, which is more than 6x what we spend on wind power R&D, to NOT build wind power at a time when electricity prices are spiking and we need more clean power?" - @CostaSamaras
@MollyJongFast Good, I think the more it seems like folks are bragging about this the more the admin will focus on these areas. Would rather them focus all their energy in a few states and then find out they missed all the other states.
@Acyn Anyone trying to take this and run with it? President went to war thinking gas prices would be even higher than they currently are? Seems like an easy PR win.
Love this category! Great presentation! Calling it now, Sarah Finn for Avengers Doomsday 2027 Oscars (and for every MCU film that preceded it, and literally so many other amazing films.)
Just insane how most business folks would analyze this data and very easily see what the issue is and course correct. In this case, WE are the board and only have the ability to fire the CEO every four years, but many on the board don’t believe reality.
JUST IN: A dismal February jobs report. The U.S. economy LOST 92,000 jobs in February and the unemployment rate ticked back up to 4.4%. Even healthcare shed 28,000 jobs in February. December was also revised down to -17,000. January was revised to 126k.
Unemployment rate: 4.4% —> highest since December (and one of the higher rates in past few years)
Wage growth: 3.8% (well above 2.4% inflation)
Technically not fired. Like many priests in the Catholic Church, Trump has yet to actually fire someone this term, instead moving people to other areas. Firing in some ways admits some fault or weakness.
