@JenSiebelNewsom: CA is losing a force in the advancement of leadership of women tomorrow via acquisition to a college that does not share this mission. Will you help us request a board investigation? Here’s the report of Mills’ financials & the situation https://t.co/uaNKbuLpvt
The Mills College Board of Trustees approved a deal with NU to buy Mills for a price less than one of its historic buildings. They also agreed for Mills to pay NU $50 MILLION if NU pulls out for any reason. Follow me for more. #investigateMills#BOTishellasus#WTFBeth
Professor Matthew Hendricks outlines how to #savemills: "Largely because of their own mismanagement, Mills’ current administration is now trying to force the sale of the college. But Mills could and should be saved." https://t.co/m0WC9kt4Gw
I asked Taylor about Birds Aren't Real on The Daily today. Yes, Birds Aren't Real.
Lots of surprising turns in her interview with the founder of the 'movement.'
👏 Love this: After all, without a coherent understanding of a system, and how participants of that system think and feel, it's unlikely you will be able to intervene effectively to fix that system. -@sladner
🥰😍 “On top of all that I was best friends with the qualitative researcher on my team and the two of us would combine powers to take over the world. Working together, we would fluidly move between qual and quant methods to understand users…” — @Randy_Au https://t.co/60yOCWQ2RN
@brownorama rn I'm synthesizing qualitative research after a long, arduous analysis of dense interviews. I think synthesis is energizing because it's when the user's story starts to reveal itself and I can start to see a fuller picture of what's going on.
@annadahlstrom Of course! 😃 Your book has been such good fuel for approaching the use of data science. It'd be great to connect with you about hosting a book talk geared towards DS to further connect some of these dots and methods.
