20 ஆண்டுகளாக மும்பையில் இவர் வசிக்கிறார். மேற்கு வங்கத்தில் நடைபெற்ற SIRல், இவரது 4 சகோதரர்கள் மட்டும் ஒரு சகோதரியின் ஆதாரங்கள் ஏற்றுக்கொள்ளப்பட்டு வாக்காளர் பட்டியலில் சேர்க்கப்பட்டது. ஷாஹிதா மற்றும் அவரது மற்றொரு சகோதரியின் ஆதாரங்கள் ஏற்றுக் கொள்ளப்படாததால் அவர்களின் வழக்கு தீர்ப்பாயத்தில் உள்ளது.

திடீரென இவரை கைது செய்து, அகதிகள் முகாமில் அடைத்து, உடனடியாக பங்களாதேஷிற்கு நாடு கடத்தியுள்ளதில் நீதமான சட்ட விதிமுறைகள் கடைபிடிக்கப்படவில்லை என்பது தெளிவாக தெரிகிறது. அவரை மீண்டும் இந்தியாவிற்கு அழைத்து வர சட்ட நடவடிக்கை மேற்கொள்ளப்பட வேண்டும். இம்முயற்சியில் ஈடுபட்ட அரசு அதிகாரிகள் மீது சட்ட நடவடிக்கை பாய வேண்டும்.
