Replicating a bioinformatics/computational biology study is lowkey one of the hardest things anyone can do 😭
I think it’s even worse when the authors aren’t explicit about their analysis methodology or didn’t deposit their code. It’s like trying to mind read.
Or they hit you with: “Unfortunately the student who performed the analysis has graduated.”
LMAOOOO 😭😭
Either way, for those of you doing computational biology/bioinformatics, please be explicit with your methodology. Deposit your code.
Daredevil is the only MCU hero whose entire existence is a contradiction. And that is exactly why he is the best one
Matt Murdock is a lawyer who breaks the law every single night.
And nobody in the MCU has ever properly called him out on it.
He argues for people's right to a fair trial by day. Then beats confessions out of people in dark alleyways at night.
He defends the justice system as the only legitimate way to hold people accountable. Then bypasses it completely when he decides someone deserves punishment.
He goes to confession every Sunday. Walks out. Does it all again on Monday.
Then He became a lawyer because he believes the law can fix what is broken. He became Daredevil because he knows it cannot.
This scene was way bigger than people treat it even though a real fight never happened.
The moment Mai chose Zuko over fear, the entire power dynamic changed. For the first time, Azula lost control of someone she thought she owned emotionally. Mai stayed completely calm while Azula was the one getting angry.
And before things could truly escalate, Ty Lee stepped in and betrayed Azula too by chi-blocking her.
That’s what makes the scene so powerful
Azula didn’t lose because someone overpowered her physically, she lost because the two people closest to her stopped being afraid of her.
Mai challenged her authority and Ty Lee took away her ability to respond.
It was the beginning of Azula’s complete mental collapse to me.
