It was a wonderful convocation! We were thrilled to see Mrs. Lackey, our Principal, featured as part of the program! The 25-26 school year is going to be the best ever! We are ready to think big, swim boldly, and make waves! Let’s go, Sharks! @HumbleISD
My 4th graders reviewed main idea “egg hunt” style! They had to find an egg that carried a mini passage and then identify what the main idea of that passage was with evidence to support it! @HumbleISD_SFE
4th grade teachers enjoyed hosting some Pokémon masters from different grade levels! As part of our experience, we did a directed drawing of Pikachu and learned how to play the fun game of Pokémon! What a unique experience all thanks to our PTA! @HumbleISD_SFE
Our first time doing “blackout poetry!” I love how creative students have been during this project! Students have also been exploring writing their own limericks! @HumbleISD_SFE
Our experts have been researching different Native American tribes in Texas! After finding all kinds of information, they created their own group totem poles based on their research! @HumbleISD_SFE
We LOVED listening to our second grade guest reader! Thank you @jen__sanchez for the opportunity for your friend to read to us, and thank you for also encouraging and building such strong readers! @HumbleISD_SFE
Some thoughtful days of just right reading time, patterns of power and planning for upcoming personal narratives! 4th grade is already growing as learners and explorers! @HumbleISD_SFE
First week of fourth grade ✅ We practiced our communication and team building skills. Students got to explore our entire room and ask questions. Lastly we read the book “Perfectly Norman,” created our own set of wings and wrote about what makes each of us unique! @HumbleISD_SFE
Our classroom turned into a mini hospital today! Doctors had different patients they had to treat by solving different literacy (not pictured) and math problems! What a great way to end career week! @CisdNorthside
We are studying David Shannon this week so today we read one of my favorite books “A Bad Case of Stripes.” After, students went back and then drew and wrote one of their favorite parts of the story! @ReadandWriteBFF#primaryliteracy@litcoachlaney
