@BellaGuerriglia@za_diggy@feederofcats Their needs are met. It simply looks different from what is considered appropriate in your country due to the different dangers.
@BellaGuerriglia@za_diggy@feederofcats I live in a country where healthcare is not a human right, let alone an animal’s right. If my cat had been poisoned, eaten by a predator, or died of a socially transmitted disease like feline aids or parvovirus I’d never forgive myself.
@BellaGuerriglia@za_diggy@feederofcats Why are you comparing a loving home to prison? Where do you live where it’s acceptable to let your pets roam without you? Are there no laws holding you liable for injuries done to others by your pets? How can you stand to put them in danger?
@BellaGuerriglia@za_diggy@feederofcats They had plenty of toys to hunt and plenty of sunlit windows. They also had plenty of warm soft beds, fresh running water, high quality food, and zero chance of being hit by a car, eaten alive by predators, or targeted by animal abusers.
@BellaGuerriglia@za_diggy@feederofcats So the most responsible thing I could have done as a cat owner is keep them inside, since they refused leash training and a picket fence wouldn’t work to keep them inside the yard.
@BellaGuerriglia@za_diggy@feederofcats Coyotes will also steal small dogs and, in some cases, small children. Should people also not have dogs and children?
The Autistic/ADHD desperation to hold a thought until you can action it or write it down, because if you stop thinking about it for even a *second*, it may vanish, never to return.
Many of you know my mom’s house was destroyed in the 2021 Texas freeze, just 6 months after my dad died. We just learned @ATT has been billing internet at this house for nearly 3 yrs and she owes ~$5000 for a house that was ripped down to the studs. @ATT won’t help.
