People in Hollywood, for the most part, are people from the Midwest who moved to Hollywood to have a career. So this idea of “coastal elites” living in a bubble is ridiculous. Who lives in a bigger bubble?

He lives in a gold tower and has twelve people in his company. He doesn’t run a corporation of hundreds of thousands of people he employs and takes care of. He ran a company of twelve people!

When you direct a film you have seven different unions all wanting different things, you have to find consensus with all of them, and you have to get them moving in the same direction.

He’s never had to do any of that kind of stuff. I just look at it and I laugh when I see him say “Hollywood elite.” Hollywood elite? I don’t have a star on Hollywood Boulevard, Donald Trump has a star on Hollywood Boulevard! Fuck you!"

I will never forget 9/11.

I will also never forget all the lies Donald Trump told about 9/11.
I will never forget that he lied that very day in a TV interview that one of the buildings he owns, 40 Wall Street, became the tallest building in downtown Manhattan after the Twin Towers came down when it’s actually 25 feet shorter than 70 Pine Street, just one block away.
I will never forget that he said he witnessed Muslims cheering the towers’ collapse from Jersey City, when that never happened.
I will never forget how he claimed he witnessed people jumping from the towers from his own window in Trump Tower. Which was FOUR MILES away.
I will never forget when he said he “helped a little bit” to clear rubble at Ground Zero with other first responders, despite the fact that there is zero evidence or first hand accounting of that ever happening.
I’ll never forget how he said he spent the $150,000 he collected after the attack “helping people” when he actually used it to repair his own property.
I’ll never forget the time he tweeted: “I would like to extend my best wishes to all, even the haters and losers, on this special date, September 11th."
And I will never forget how pumped up he was ahead of a memorial visit in Shanksville.
I will never forget 9/11.
I will never forget those innocent lives we lost that day.
I will never forget our heroic first responders.
And I will never forget or forgive, all the times Donald Trump has used that dark day, and all of those lives so tragically lost.
To benefit himself.

22 years ago, my dad got up before the rest of our family was awake and left for work. He was in his office in the west side of the Pentagon, when a plane crashed into the building throwing him from his desk. His first thought wasn't just to get out, he picked himself up and, ignoring orders to evacuate, began helping carry others out of the building. Over and over my dad ran into the building helping others escape the chaos until he was physically restrained by emergency workers who said it was too dangerous to go back in. Years later, my dad told me, "The worst thing wasn't the dead bodies of my friends that I was stepping over, it was hearing the screams of the people who were trapped that I couldn't get to."
