As someone who has always been along the court corridors standing in solidarity with victims of state persecution, my advice to anyone arrested in the name of criticizing the government, is to never plead guilty. DCI have never won any single case against government critics. If you don't have a legal counsel, deny the charges. Actually, refuse to take a plea and ask to be allowed to interrogate the charge sheet. Say you don't even know that person on the charge sheet and you don't own any social media account. Let them struggle proving it's you. They'll fuck themselves up in the technicalities and you will walk out smiling, heading straight to the high Court demanding compensation for illegal arrest and malicious prosecution.
