@SabraGibbens Thank you for your service!! It’s frustrating that upholding a healthcare system in crisis is completely falling on the shoulders of individual physicians but I’m sure your community and patients are extremely grateful for your work and compassion

One ER doctor on hospital row in Toronto with a sign “Protect hospitals.” He came before his shift. “This is sacred ground behind me,” he said. Let them protest, he added, but not here. @globalnewsto
Thanks for your support! This whole process has been so disappointing and emotionally charged for us. We were looking forward to writing this exam and now due to lack of communication, difficulties rescheduling and limited communication from @FamPhysCan it’s become a nightmare
Feeling awful for colleagues who had their CCFPEM exams cancelled today.
Not sure why this had to happen on the day of but it is added burden both mentally and emotionally for these already burnt out physicians.
#ccfpem ☹️👎
We were told prometric would contact us within 24-48 hours to reschedule. So far no communication and all in person spots already taken. Called prometric, they told me it’s not their problem and contact @FamPhysCan - so far nothing from them either.
Because we “wrote” on the 9th our exam is “still in progress” and apparently they can’t change our status. Talking to prometric, they said we “may” get a call next week but don’t get our hopes up!? So basically…unclear when we’ll get to write and no in person spots
Attempted to take the CCFP-EM exam remotely yesterday but many of us experienced major technical difficulties. Today, ALL remote sessions canceled = hundreds of impacted #ERphysicians. Limited communication from @FamPhysCan throughout all of this #EmergencyMedicine (Part 1)
As a physician who’s working in a high-volume ER, I’m worried I’ll create issues for my colleagues if I need to switch my shifts around or call in the on-call, in an already high stress, resource limited work environment. #ccfpem
We have spent over a year preparing for this exam, spent countless hours studying in between ER shifts, and spent over $3k on exam fees. We’re told the solution is to reschedule us sometime around our oral exams, with no clarity as to whether this issue will be resolved by then
Resident Research Day @WesternUEmerg is always an incredible opportunity to share and acknowledge the hard work that our residents are doing on top of their clinical duties! Some important and impactful projects are taking place in London and guiding some important conversations
@reverendofdoubt And for those residents or med students not part of EMRA, you can email us directly at [email protected] and ask for free registration.
We know this year has been challenging 😓 and we want as many residents/students be able to join!
Spread the word! 🤩🤩🤩🤩
It’s official ❗️
Although our announcement was delayed due to recent COVID 🦠 outbreaks, we are happy to congratulate 🎉 our incoming class who successfully matched to the CCFP-EM incoming class in 2021 @WesternUEmerg
Welcoming these successful candidates to L-O next year !
Excited to have been involved in this practice-changing RCT comparing Haloperidol (superior) to Ondansetron for Cannabis Hyperemesis Syndrome from @Qemerg@therealdraa_ron@savforrester Marco Sivilotti and others! Check it out!
