Then he should take a knee to combat the obvious and virulent anti-White racism on display in the Nowak case. Tier 1 immigrant with brown skin makes unsubstantiated claim of racism and cops believe him. Tier 2 native kid with white skin claims brown guy stabbed him and Cops arrest the white kid while he's visibly injured. It that racism ok?
And you'd lose. The distinction isn't official or unofficial event, it's official event that the speaker agreed to participate in under a set of specific rules, that the speaker then broke. Sorry man. I appreciate that you have a really really large ego and just can't let someone else be right and you be wrong, but that's the case. Go to law school in the US and then we can talk.
Tinker is inapplicable. That was students in school generally, not official speakers at a school run function who deviated from a pre-approved speech. I am actually an attorney. I am familiar with First Amendment law, and I know more about it than you do. I mean, congratulations on finding Tinker, but you missed a whole slew of applicable cases that mostly arose out of schools preventing speakers from talking about religion. They are absolutely allowed to do that. An invited speaker at a state-run event who agrees to stick to an approved script *as a precondition of being a speaker* (which you may not understand is a very widespread practice here in the US, but it is) does not get to claim First Amendment protection when he or she goes off script.
It's routine everywhere in the US. Has been for decades. I'm not saying the principal gets to assault the kid, but absolutely she gets to turn off the microphone if the kid deviates from the approved speech. That is true anywhere. I'm sorry you don't actually understand how the United States Constitution's First Amendment works, but given you're in NORWAY maybe that's to be expected.
@Jazz_Phan@paolomossetti High schools routinely pre- approve speeches. That's been standard practice for decades. I'd give 95% odds that's what's happened here. I stand by my comment.
The ceremony is not a public venue in the same sense as a street corner. Speakers undoubtedly signed an agreement to only give speeches that were pre-approved. Specifically in order to avoid offending everyone with political BS like this. And without question she violated that agreement. That's not a First Amendment violation, it's actually a contract violation on her part.
You are correct that it's not a First Amendment violation but you're entirely wrong about why it's not a First Amendment violation. A high school principal is absolutely an agent of the state. The reason it isn't the violation is because theThe reason it isn't the violation is because the graduation ceremony is not a public venue, and the speakers understand their speech is to be approved beforehand.
@MarkRuddStaffs@Alexarmstrong@grok Yes. Mine got suspended for suggesting that as to Jane Fonda and her clear violation of the US Code statute for treason.
@MarkyMa11373784@pmarca The precise moment I figured out we were being lied to about COVID. Maybe I was slow on the uptake, but this proved it beyond any reasonable doubt. The public trust thrown away by the medical establishment, over a crackhead felon who died of a fentanyl overdose, is mind-boggling
Perhaps I'm missing something - and math was not my strongest suit in school. But, I didn't follow this: 80 children under 5 drown in bathtubs, plus another 40 in buckets. 642 accidental firearms deaths including adults. How, then is this true: "THREE TIMES as many children drown in bathtubs annually as die from ALL firearm accidents combined — including adults." 80 doesn't seem like three times 642. Trust me, I'm on your side, but I'm not getting this explanation.
@timespolitics Where are your fawning articles about Dominik Tarczyński, a Member of the European Parliament, or American Valentina Gomez, or Eva Vlaardingerbroek or any of the other 8 people similarly banned from attending the last UTK rally? Selective outrage is unbecoming you Leftist prats.
Member of Parliament Shabana Mahmood when it’s a black criminal who died of a drug overdose vs an innocent white guy
George Floyd: “Regarding protests across the U.S… I share their anger at this unspeakable outrage.”
Henry Nowak: “The scenes this evening are completely unacceptable. Those responsible can expect to face the full force of the law.”
Unreal
@JaeSambo The FBI estimates that over the past 40 years, black Americans have murdered approximately 200,000 other black Americans. Sounds like a genocide to me.
@ggreenwald@LoewyLawFirm Given Greenwald's pervasive and vile antisemitism, it's no surprise he has no issue with a guy who knowingly got himself tattooed with with a literal SS Totenkopf.
