@dog_auras@PicturesFoIder No. She could have dementia and that’s why she spit. If she gets a concussion from the fall, that girl will be charged with involuntary manslaughter. So NO. Violence to an elderly person is not cool retribution.
As you process the devastating news that another tragic shooting took the lives of at least 22 innocent people in Maine, remember the shooter didn't act alone.
He was assisted by 222 House members, 49 Senators, and the NRA.
Netta Epstein, just 21 🕯️
Netta, an Israeli-Canadian, was hiding with his girlfriend in a safe room in Kibbutz Kfar Aza when Hamas terrorists broke inside.
They shot him and tossed a grenade at the couple. Netta jumped on the grenade and saved his girlfriend’s life.
This young man died a hero. His memory will forever be a blessing.
HORRIFYING- NYU students walking around campus removing posters featuring missing Israelis being held in Gaza by Hamas terrorists.
The lack of humanity by your students is not only heartbreaking but extremely concerning @nyuniversity@NYUCampusSafety
This is 84-year-old Ditza Heiman. Her family asked that the following be shared:
Our beloved mom, Ditza Heiman, 84 years old, is missing. Terrorists kidnapped her to Gaza from her home in Kibbutz Nir Oz.
Her neighbor heard her calling for help, went out, but understood he couldn’t help her since there were many terrorists outside.
We haven’t heard from her since yesterday (Saturday) around 10 am, and when we tried to call her, someone from the Hamas answered in Arabic.
We are helpless and torn from worry, and no one has contacted us yet to provide information.
Please spread this photo, holding one of her great grandchildren - she loves babies so much - for the whole world to see, and maybe someone will be able to help us.
Dianne Feinstein will be rightly remembered as a trailblazer—the first woman to serve as mayor of San Francisco and the first woman elected to the Senate from California. But once she broke those barriers and walked through those doors, she got to work.
I first got to know Dianne in the Senate, where she was a fierce advocate for gun safety measures and civil rights. Later, when I was president, I came to rely on her as a trusted partner in the fight to guarantee affordable healthcare and economic opportunity for everyone.
The best politicians get into public service because they care about this country and the people they represent. That was certainly true of Dianne Feinstein, and all of us are better for it. Today Michelle and I are thinking of her daughter, Katherine, and everyone who knew and loved her.
This is Corion Evans.
While he was driving in Mississippi, he saw a car swerve and crash into a river. Without hesitating, he ran out, jumped into the water, and rescued three girls inside.
He was 16 at the time.
The driver of the vehicle stated she was following her GPS and did not realize she was going into the water.
Corion Evans said he immediately ran over, took off his shoes and shirt and went into the water when he saw the car sinking and heard the three occupants shouting for help.
When Police Officer Gary Mercer responded to the scene, he attempted to bring one person to shore who began panicking and caused him to struggle under water.
Evans helped rescue him, too.
Officials presented Evans with a certificate of commendation for his heroism in rescuing the four people. They also recognized Mercer for his "bravery in the rescue."
“It's not often enough that you see people put others above themselves."
“In one of the most notable moments in sports history, Kenyan runner Abel Mutai was just a few feet from the finish line, but became confused with the signage and stopped thinking he had completed the race.
A Spanish athlete, Ivan Fernandez, was right behind him, and after realizing what was happening, he started shouting at the Kenyan for him to continue running; but Mutai didn't understand his Spanish.
Fernandez eventually caught up to him and instead of passing him, he pushed him to victory.
A journalist asked Ivan, "Why did you do that?"
Ivan replied, “My dream is that someday we can have a kind of community life where we push and help each other to win.” The journalist insisted “But why did you let the Kenyan win?" Ivan replied, "I didn't let him win, he was going to win.” The journalist insisted again, “But you could have won!”Ivan looked at him & replied, “But what would be the merit of my victory? What would be the honor of that medal?
What would my Mom think of that?”
Values are transmitted from generation to generation.
What values are we teaching our children?
Let us not teach our kids the wrong ways to WIN.”
