VEIL vs OMNI: who actually built the privacy?

Both sell privacy on Solana. Only one built the engine.

Omni's shield runs on Privacy Cash. Their own docs say it: deposits and withdrawals go through the Privacy Cash program. Omni is a front end stacking other people's rails: Privacy Cash for the pool, Jupiter for swaps, NEAR Intents for bridging, third-party TEEs for compute. Nice UX, but if Privacy Cash breaks or changes its terms, Omni's core goes with it.

Veil built its own ZK pool:
- Its own Groth16 circuits, with proofs built in your browser and verified onchain by Veil's own program
- Any SPL token shielded into one private balance, not just what another protocol supports
- Private swaps through Jupiter and private lending through Jupiter Lend, straight from that balance
- Its own relayer, so it's gasless for users
- Web wallet + Chrome extension live

The token side tells the same story:
- Veil: 20% of protocol fees go to VEIL buybacks, and 10K USD has already been bought back and burned onchain
- Omni: the token is only used for a discount on one feature (anonymous Pumpfun launches)

Aggregators get copied in a weekend. A ZK pool with growing liquidity and users doesn't.
