@Boettcher_Bryan@LaurenWobken What @USDCoachWags has built for that program will live on and the town of Vermillion and USD Athletics should be grateful for his impact!
No USD coach has done more with less administrative support than Robert Wagner. No Division I facility to show recruits, no Division I locker room, and though the DakotaDome renovation was terrific, it came at the cost of practice space for Coyote softball.
If this truly is the end of the line for Robert Wagner, he is certainly going out on a high. What his team accomplished at the end of this season - including one of the best moments of the NCAA Softball Tournament - will be talked about for a very long time.
@USDCoachWags was a huge part of my development as a coach and person. He and his team had a great year. He is a great coach and has always helped me, no matter the ask. Whoever snags him is going to be very lucky.
What an incredible run! Loved our time at ASU and so thankful for the opportunity to learn from you!! Supporting the journey and whatever comes next! Thank you for being the best!
@USDCoachWags Words cannot express how grateful I am to have been coached by and mentored by you! You believed in me as a player, coach, and all around person. I am forever proud of my time playing for you and coaching alongside you at USD. You will be EXCEPTIONALLY difficult to replace.
Go to one of Donald Trump’s rallies. He talks about Hannibal Lecter, windmills causing cancer—and you will even notice people leaving early out of boredom.
The one thing you will not hear him talk about is you.
