Today was by far the hottest day in Oviedo on record, with the max temp reaching 38.7°C. The previous record was 35.8°. Nuts!
With the humidity, this meteorologist said the real feel could have been as high as 49°.

Its state of disrepair is depressing to those who saw it in its glory, and there is still hope that it can be redeveloped by the gov or a private company.

But if you're in Asturias, it's a pretty cool spot to check out. Tarragona and Marbella have similar workers resorts too.

In the 80s, it passed to the hands of the left-wing Asturian government. It was open until 2005.

Although not official, most people believe that its fascist past is the reason the gov has let this unique complex, one of the rare places directly on the Asturian coast, crumble.
