From a radio listener this morning, and he makes a great point:
So in light of the Nashville school shooting, I did some research. They estimate it would cost $4B per year to have an armed guard at every school in the US.
We have allocated at least $75B to Ukraine. That is 18.75 yrs worth of school guards.
Online it said the shooter was going to another school but changed because of security on campus.
Metal detectors or gun laws would have not stopped this….armed security would have. Not sure why districts don’t put this into place. There are parents that are ex-cops or military that would take turns and provide for free.
Flags in Nebraska will fly at half-staff this week to honor the victims of a school shooting in Nashville, Gov. Jim Pillen announced Tuesday. https://t.co/HZVkYkn4SZ
