Upper class men will use pics of lower caste, underprivileged men working in inhumane conditions, appropriate their struggle and proclaim “feminism ends here”
Beyond that, they never give a shit about improving their working conditions and treating them as dignified human beings rather than disposable labour.
i keep thinking of this. as a dalit you have to constantly prove your humanity or that you deserve to occupy any space, yet the fact that i’m *able* to live a somewhat ‘normal’ life keeps astounding me, because that could just have not been the case without babasaheb.
So much hate for Dr.Ambedkar among privileged caste people but if you ask them why they hate him, they can't give a valid reason without embarrassing themselves. It's a shame that some are happily disrespecting one of the greatest Indians on his birth anniversary.
I may not agree with every policy or claim to be an expert on them, but full marks to leaders who front up.
Taking questions, facing the media, and answering in public takes confidence. That alone deserves respect.
Not every politician has that courage.
