Since 3 x 10 is 30, then (a) cannot be the answer.

10^3 is 1000 AND 3 x 1,000 is 3,000. Eliminates (b) and (c) as an answer.

Since 3.5 > 3, therefore 3.5x1000 > 3 x 1000.

As a result, the closest answer has to be (d).
